This shitty flowchart describes the scientifically named phases a yandere goes through when they first meet, kidnap and break a darling, finally reaching a state of being known as Stasis, wherein all of the yandere’s needs are met. I will elaborate later.
Christabella Walton was the second subject Sarabeth used in her neuroforming experiments. Once a himedere vestal virgin of the Elder Gods, Christabella was set to be executed for plotting the murder of a yandere noble she suspected of impurity. Sarabeth originally just wanted to spectate, but she was so taken by the priestess’s beauty that she bought her on the spot and dragged her overseas to Port Sarabeth, where her training began.
There was one issue, though: Absolutely nothing would break Sarabeth’s new darling. And so, hoping to get past Christabella’s intense faith and religious hangups, she devised a new neuroforming regime; this time, hypnotic modifications to the brain involved altering likes and dislikes.
The treatment was mostly a success; the new Christabella was a submissive proper lady who scorned all non-yandere religion, enjoyed material rewards and sought to please Sarabeth. However, she also suffered from headaches and bouts of confusion.
An elementary school teacher in a Port Sarabeth state school. For a graduated darling to be retained as an instructor is a truly high honor, as it means they’ve been deemed so good that they’re worthy of teaching the next generation their ways. Her yandere is a minor noblewoman.
“There is simply nothing greater in life than to love and be loved by a yandere, children.”
Having them religious trauma and child indoctrination feels. The State School Primer is, as the name suggests, the first textbook state school students will ever read, aged 7. Along with basic subjects, the book contains heavy indoctrination, to encourage the future darlings to be submissive servants. Be warned, this is very twisted.
The beginning of Astra’s rule was during a difficult and chaotic period in Port Sarabeth. Following the founding of Elveria, Sarabeth had ordered the mass capture of the entire adult darling population of the city, for them to be trained and wedded to yanderes. Their children were sent to the first State Schools. Quite a few managed to evade capture, and a resistance movement was even formed, but these stragglers were gradually taken. One of them was a himedere named Fernando, Astra’s first darling.
Following intensive training and neuroforming, he became a butler and guard who focused on his appearance and material rewards.
The Straighten Out Center is a cruel place that brainwashes “uncouth” Stanfordian teens and turns them into stepford homemakers. To accomplish this, both yanderes and darlings are employed as staff members who destroy and train back up these captive teens. Some of these are:
🖤Drill Sergeant Macnamera: One of the breakers who terrorizes new students into total submission. A sadistic yandere, his wife passed away 5 years ago, and it’s rumored that he killed her.
💝Mary Louise Dalton: A former “graduate” of this horrid place who now acts as the knitting instructor. Her demure smile can’t hide the madness in her eyes.
💓Michael Smith: The piano instructor. He avoids the inmates like the plague when not giving lessons, as his yandere is very possessive.
🖤Clay Smith: One of the disciplinary officers. He thinks lowly of the inmates and of darlings in general, believing that they should “stay in the kitchen”.
🖤Doris Macnamera: Drill Sergeant Macnamera’s sister, and the baking instructor. She is sickeningly sweet and cheerful, and surprisingly kind to the inmates, even though one of her punishments for poor work is having some of your blood mixed in the dough.
A 15 year old Stanfordian delinquent before being sent to the Straighten-Out Center.
Him at 18, freshly graduated and waiting for his parents to come take him home. He feels embarrassed about his hands being exposed; hopefully they’ll have gloves for him to wear. He can’t wait for the day he earns the lacy type.
