Cloudtail/Brambleclaw anon I hope you're happy that you've infested my brain with your ship today. I keep turning them around in my head and thinking of different ways for them to get together and what they get up to. I didn't need yet another ship for Brambleclaw but I welcome it.

Bramblecloud, warrior of ForestClan

She’s placid and soft spoken; pleasant, albeit a tad melancholy. In spite of her odd personality (for a ForestClan cat), she has the undeniable respect of her clanmates thanks to her level head and down-to-earth nature.

Frogthroat  (Early) Elder | He is He | Designed by me

Frogthroat’s story is a pretty sad one; he was a very curious kit born to TWO WONDERFUL DADS just before they were due to become Elders. In fact, the very day he became an Apprentice his parents, Sandfang and Bramblecloud, retired. Frogpaw wanted to do anything to make his parents proud and be enough of a Warrior for both of them, so he tried to attack a fox. With cubs. Obviously, it didn’t go well and he was dragged back to Camp, a newly-made Apprentice who was already bleeding out. Broken ribs, neck torn to shreds and most of his ears gone. It wasn’t a good day.

After surviving the ordeal, Frogpaw found that he had severe difficulty speaking, and his ability to even breath, let alone run or do much physical work, was decimated as a result. When offered to become an early Elder, he resigned fairly gracefully; after all, he could now spend all his time with his dads. Lots of random hairs grew back white after the stress of the ordeal.

Frogthroat is a really heavy cat but loves to sit on others and kneed their shoulders while they recount a problem or tell a story. He’s terrified of water, fearing that if any gets into or near his mangled throat he’ll down, and the wound needs to be cleaned often so WELP.

Though his voice is raspy croaks, his purr is like thunder and his hisses are mute. He’s really adorable. He knows he’ll likely never have a mate and kits now, and though it saddens him, he’s instead focusing on memorizing all of Loonfur’s stories and learning everything he can.

Man I really, but really need someone who normally posts about ships to answer this:

Is Brambleclaw x Cloudtail a bad, good or weird ship????

It's not a ship I've thought about that much, but I think it's good! They have some obvious chemistry from both being Firestar apprentices. I could see Cloudtail being especially supportive to Bramblepaw/claw if any cats still give him shit about being Tigerstar's son, since Cloudtail would be especially aware that your parentage doesn't define the sort of warrior you are. And they're both big fluffy guys!

Cloudtail is a little bit older than Brambleclaw, which fits my general preference of older tom partners for Bramble. Cloudtail is more experienced in life and love and Brambleclaw is very eager to learn.

I don't see this happening instead of Cloudtail/Brightheart (especially because I always hc Cloudtail as trending rather straight), but I've been pretty vocal about imagining Brightheart being enthusiastically in favor of Cloudtail having a tom to fool around with. I bet Brightheart acts really motherly toward Brambleclaw in this scenario. I can see the three of them all curling up together :3
