Hello, I recently upgraded my PC to Windows 11, and would like to replay DAO & DA2. Do you know if there's any troubles / compatibility problems with Windows 11 and both the games? Thank you.

COUNTRIES I’VE LIVED IN: The United States, and Germany (My dad was in the nave so I was born there, lived there till I was 6 months old or something. And to completely date myself, it was West Germany when I lived there.) 

FAVORITE FANDOM: The Dragon Age fandom. Because while there are some *horrific* assholes in the fandom, they are far outweighed by the glorious and creative folks I associate with. I could go on at pretty great length, but I won’t. :)

LANGUAGES YOU SPEAK: I’m a native English speaker, and I used to be relatively well versed in Spanish, but now I just kind resign myself to pointing at shit and saying, “Como se dice?” I can probably poorly introduce myself in Korean, and I can cuss in several languages. :p

I didn’t win the contest (But congrats to the winners! The entries were great!), but I’m proud of my entry and figured I’d share mine, and maybe encourage others to share theirs too! :D (I don’t know how correct the elven is, but it sounded good together and at least partially conveyed my meaning. And I *seriously* debated making a physical representation of the ring. :) )

Dareth Bellenaris (The Ring of Eternal Protection)

Ring: Guardian Spirit (Blocks one melee attack every thirty seconds), +10 Armor Rating

The ring is simple in design. A thin band worked in veridium wire. When worn, 3 runes or symbols flash briefly then fade. When the wearer is under attack, the runes flash to life.

    The day before my sister left to go to another clan who’d just lost their Keeper, we took a walk among the trees.  She handed me a ring-a simple ring, made of a greenish metal wire, twisted in a simple pattern.  

    “Wear it, stupid,” she’d told me. “You’ll need something to protect you once I’m gone.”

    I remember sticking out my tongue as I slid the ring onto my first finger. Elvish symbols glowed briefly and I thought I felt an odd sense of something settling around me.  

    Growing up with my sister, magic was nothing surprising to me. As I turned to ask how it worked, she pointed her staff at my face, sending a jolt of frost right at me!  I barely had time to register surprise, let alone move as I saw something leap in front of me to take the blow. Her laughter overcame my anger, as always, and I wore the ring for many years.

    Look, I don’t know exactly how it works, I just know that it saved my hide on many occasions. I want you to have it so it can protect you once I’m gone.

(Part of the contents of a small box send to the University of Orlais, along with a small note: This box and its contents were found buried beneath a tree. The landowner had come to us because his attempts at cutting the tree down had proven unsuccessful. To be fair, it did take six of us chopping in sequence the better part of the afternoon to get it down. Maybe it was the ring?)
