I will never forgive the Erins on how they wrote Brambleclaw/star and his relationship with Squirrelflight.
They decided to take an amazing concept of learning how to become your own person, pushing past the trauma from a parent and expectations to be a shitty person (everyone expecting Bramble to be just like Tigerstar) and they shit all over it.
They decided to make him into a piece of shit. Where the FUCK is the character development that should've happened during/after The New Prophecy arc? The Erins just wanted the children of Fire and Tiger to get together. They wanted to take the concept of a bickering, but loving couple into play, but they turned Bramble into a horrible cat.
That's not a good lesson to teach kids about trauma and relationships. Its bullshit. I'll never get over this. I'll die on the hill that Bramble x Squirrel deserved so much better writing.
Edit: ALSO How fucking DARE they have Squirrelflight go through all that BS. Nobody deserves this manipulation and treatment and have is disguised as "trust" and "love" and "bickering." NO. What kind of lesson is that for the young readers that read this?
