Thoughts on 3x05 "Nobody's Clean"
Nope, nope, nope I reject this episode. Not part of my canon. Sorry. I can't.
Seriously, WTF? The part about the prostitute, fine, sort-of in character. Not where I would have gone, but fine. But Alex using steroids? (And Zach, who was training him, not noticing? Really??) And then Alex hanging out with Bryce? How could anyone in the writing room think it was a good idea? It doesn't make any sense and it's so OOC. Have the writers completely forgotten S1 and S2?
I'm going to focus on those 30 seconds of Zach getting all excited to help Alex at the gym. That was adorable. They should have made the whole episode about that.
Mrs. Walker breaks my heart. There are so many layers to her grief. Brenda Strong is exceptional. I wish Mrs. Walker had someone: it's awful that she has to go through it alone.
I feel for Monty and his awful family life. I think he could be redeemed in time if he had a better home environment. It wouldn't erase what he's done, but I could see him maybe becoming a better person in the future if he just had the right support system. I doubt it’s going to happen though.
I'm hoping the rest of the season fixes Alex's storyline somehow but I don't even know if it can be fixed tbh. Ugh. So frustrating.
