taking this as my sign to yap about fairy tail so here are my ships and their headcannons

erzajane - childhood rival/lovers. mira was very much “you want to kiss me so bad it makes you look stupid” and erza would kiss to her to make her shut up. it didnt work.

luvia (i love luvia i start foaming at the mouth for luvia) - “love rival? of course lucy is my love rival! i mean, how could you not fall in love with her golden blond hair and those big brown eyes and her sweet voice and-“

canajane - hooked up once i mean twice i mean thrice i mean what? they hooked up? theyre fuckbuddies with feelings but like only a little bit

miralu - mira had a small crush on lucy based soley on appearance and it rekindles itself every time lucy self-sacrifices. she loves poking fun at lucy and seeing how hard she can make her blush

lucana - i feel like cana’s crush is practically canon. cana has always had a soft spot because she loves a woman that can kill her but after the entire s-class trials thing, she fell head over heels. she doesn’t expect anything to come out of it but thinks its fun to mess with lucy.

chendy - is it not normal to want to kiss your best friend slash enemy? i mean sure chelia is the sun and i want to be next to her every day. isnt that normal?

fraxus - freed has a disease. the disease is called being gay. freed needs treatment. treatment is kissing laxus. freed fell in love with laxus because of his determination, strength, and his big ass muscles. laxus isnt emotionally mature enough to admit his crush on freed but he gets crazy jealous if anyone tries to hit on him.

kagza - this is fully a one sided crush based on the time kagura kissed erza. kagura is a raging lesbian who joined the lesbian guild and proceeded to take her chance with erza. she fell in love with her foolish selflessness when erza almost died for jellal of all people

brandlu - brandish is pansexual and does not care about gender as a concept. that being said, she loves a woman with big tits (lucy).

brandaria - dimaria: i thought you loved me? why are you willing to throw all of it away for some girl you don’t even know? i love a miscommunication/betrayal reveal kind of thing

yukino x everyone - i love yukino she might only have two hands but she has hella skin for people to hold so hello sting minerva lucy kagura hisui

stingue - duh. childhood friends who watched the other go through phases and crushes but somehow end up stuck to each other.

and then ofc the (practically) canon ones like nalu, gruvia, gajevy, and jerza. despite all their female relationships, the big four all end up with (loser) men😔

nalu because its nalu. i am fully subscribed to the idea of natsu thinking theyre dating and lucy thinking hes clueless af

gruvia i could do a separate post on. gray learns that its okay to love someone and to enjoy his life. people might have died for him but they died for him to live, not for him to suffer alone. juvia learns to express her emotions after a lifetime of suppression. she learns what love feels like. she learns what happiness feels like. she learns what its like to feel and how to act on those feelings in a reasonable way

gajevy because of course big scary dog and his tiny controller

jerza because erza loves her loser boyfriend and im obligated to support her. that being said, i do like jellal so i mean loser boyfriend in an affectionate way.

Folks, the Big Four are amazing, no doubt! I love them as much as the next person.

But let’s give these heavily implied side ships some special attention

FRAXUS. Freed Justine x Laxus Dreyar. Heavily Implied in manga and anime. Most logical for romantic partner for each other and developed relationship for each of the two. No other obvious love interest. Parallels with other bigger ships, interaction-wise.

CHENDY. Chelia Blendy x Wendy Marvell. Puppy crush. Many interactions that can easily be read as blooming romantic relationship later on.

STINGUE. Sting Eucliffe x Rogue Cheney. Heavily implied in manga and anime. Most logical partner for each other as they also both don’t have any other character that has a more developed relationship with them or the interactions.

KYOSEI. Kyouka x Seilah. Canon girlfriends or at least lovers. Need I say more?

BONUS:

BRANDARIA. Brandish x Dimaria. Heavily implied to have some kind of romantic affection for each other. This picture is from the recent June Bride event that also features couples like Nalu and Gruvia.

Aside from the ones who passed away in the anime/manga. What Headcannons do you have for members of the Spriggan 12, the ones stil around and any Headcannons for what happened to Alvarez and Fiore after the war? I mean we just got another year time skip after everything and they didn't mention much. I know the sequel mentions Brandish, Irene, and Ajeel I've heard but Idk cause I dont keep up with it.
