Album premiere: Brandon Can’t Dance, Graveyard of Good Times

Back in 2015, we asked a few artists about their favorite music of the year. Alex G's answer was Brandon Can't Dance, the project of fellow Philadelphian songwriter Brandon Ayres, who had quietly amassed a deep catalog of self-recorded outsider pop at Bandcamp, and a cult following live. On Graveyard of Good Times, his physical debut with Lucky Number (home to Hinds, Sleigh Bells, and early Alex G), the diverse collection of sounds he's experimented with over the years—distorted rock, post-punk, synth-pop—are tuned up into a single statement that's "both self-effacing and sardonic," says Noisey.
