They turned Gaston into a twink for Sparklink. Vargas would be so disappointed by this turn of events.

Him and the Sully character are so disappointing 🥲 Their character inspirations have very unique big and broad physiques, and I would have loved to see this reflected in their Spalik designs even if I'm not personally a fan of the overly muscular types.

This does, however, present us with an interesting revelation??? Which is that Spalik and Twst can apparently have overlapping concepts, but their own interpretations of it? Does that mean Spalik might spit out its own versions of NRC or RSA boys someday?? It opens up new, interesting avenues, but I'm not sure if Spalik would be winning over Twst anytime soon… Even just comparing this guy and Vargas (a very unpopular Twst character), it’s a lot easier to see Vargas’s inspiration and visual charm.

The "Spalik will be the Disney princess/heroes game" and "There won't be character overlap between Spalik and Twst" lines are entirely based on things Twst fans have said. There is little basis for these claims in official Spalik marketing, There is a business interview in which it's stated Spalik isn't meant to be a competitor for Twst and that they're being developed separately, but that's NOT the same as promising to not use the same characters as another Disney mobile gacha game, or saying that Spalik will feature NO villains.

Given that we've already gotten a Gaston character in both Spalik and Twst, I'd say the gloves are off and that more overlap is possible in the future. (I think this is fine, as there seems to be very different interpretations in store, even just looking at Nicolas vs Vargas. They'd also be in entirely different settings and stories, which will help differentiating them.) There's already properties shared between the games anyway, like Trein and Ellie from Cinderella. It seems like it would be incredibly limiting if both dev teams were forced to avoid using certain Disney IPs or characters simply because this completely unrelated dev team already claimed the rights. And again, based on the initial reports, it sounds like the dev teams will just do their own things and not worry about whatever other projects Disney has got.

I will add that I believe Spalik has more access to use Disney IPs than Twst does, because Spalik has the copyright to both Pixar and Disney on their website. (Twst ONLY has Disney copyright, which seems to retroactively imply Twst does not have the rights to use anything Pixar, as Twst lacks the Pixar copyright.)

Disney also has several mobile games which borrow characters and ideas from its many iconic IPs. These mobile games are so different in design, gameplay, art styles, writing, etc. than they don't really compete with one another in the market, and I'm assuming this will be the case for Spalik and Twst. And besides, Disney is still getting attention and/or money from the public no matter if you support one game or both, so... They still win at the end of the day.

I dont hate but I just dont like this character, its so obvious its Gaston. He is just so annoying and intolerable sometimes, when he comes up in the screen, I immediately skip it.

No One is a Brother like You

A brief summary of their life was that Gaston is being requested as Beast's older brother. I called him Rafe in my application but you can use whatever name you want. Rafe was the golden child meant to restore honor. Their family had once been the 'it' family in Montana. Their grandfather has lost the fortune and family estate and they were determined to get it back. They believed Rafe could do it and he did go far. He got a football scholarship and went to college while Wesley was told to stay back and help the family business that nearly went bankrupt.

Then one day, Wes just left. He ran away from home and just kept driving. He changed his number and went completely no contact with his family and drove away. He kept driving until he hit Anaheim, CA where his car broke down.

Now, Rafe has come to town. The why is up to you. He could have hired a private investigator to find his brother. It could all be an accident and when Rafe took over the family's company, or made his own, that he made a deal with Disney causing him to move to Anaheim. I left creative control to what the family business and what Rafe has been doing completely up to you. The main things I mentioned was that Rafe was in various sports, wasn't the best in school, but was very popular with the ladies. So much so that many girls tried to flirt with Wesley just to get close to Rafe.

Now, you can keep up an antagonistic relationship between the two. You could have him wanting to actually connect with his father. He could just not understand and want answers. The world is your oyster and we can have fun with whatever!
