This group was played with study restrictions (no editing papers/presentations, no extra effort in class, no homework/skilling except for key signature skills).
I thought the Gremlins lot trait made stuff more likely to break, but, no! In the middle of the night each and every appliance including the plumbing broke, releasing puddles and sparks all over the house. That was certainly unexpected!
Fun fact: The house owner, Todd Williams, had died the evening before.
(I had wanted to dispose of this one much earlier, but after Leo Manfred’s ill-fated Sulani adventure he needed a place to stay, so I kept Todd around.
And after Leo had gotten on his feet again, Todd had acquired a romance bar with Portia Colch, so I delayed his demise again.)
Todd didn’t haunt the lot that night, but I’m convinced the breakage was the work of his angry spirit.
Anyway, Portia and her son went to work cleaning up...
...but the same morning Portia fell ill, leaving the work to Brandon.
Both the computer (for ordering medicine) and the fridge (for orange juice) were still out of commission, so Portia went through several stages of disease before it got better.
As for Brandon, the kid went from zero to five Handyness skillpoints, which is rather in character for him in most saves I play him.
Donny also ended up with maxed out Responsibility, which is more like the opposite of how I usually play him (except Android!Brandon).
All in all it took two days to repair the damage and clean the house plus a third one of recovering from all the red and yellow motive bars.
I think a Sulani vacation is in order for mother and son next (I take any excuse to fly to Sulani, lol).
I managed to get him out of his “Responsible” bonus trait range simply by skipping school during the Sulani vacation, but while there he befriended his mom and subsequently lost his bad repuation. He was “Aw, the somewhat older kid who has still such a good relationship with his mother, what a darling!” to the other tourists.
Needless to say, some serious neighborhood trolling with the other Renegades was in order to restore Brandon’s street credit.

B: Who is the last person they shared a bed with?
Yuki, Morgan, Wolfgang, Isimud, Neal and Mia!
Ey, we usually end up like a heap of kittens after a party, on or next to a sofa. Nothing ever happens, like we were siblings. It's depressing, if you think about it.
Anyway, we were having a good time at Max's place and afterwards the servants shoved us all under a blanket to get sorted out by our parents when they'd come pick us up the next day. Except for Carlos and Ulrike, since they are technically adults already.
R: When’s the last time they had a birthday party?
At my birthday. D'oh.
We went to the Bluffs the evening before, hanging out, drinking and daring each other to jump into the pool and strike midnight we launched fireworks.
(Note: This Brandon's birthday is sometime in fall.)
A: Who are their exes? Do they still keep in touch?
I had sort of a thing going with Mia McNally when we were fourteen. More precisely, we were each others emergency Yule Ball date, but then she snogged Isi there. And now we're all back to being just good chums.
N: Are they clumsy and/or prone to accidents?
I'm neither clumsy...
D: What time does their day usual start?
When school's over. Before, I'm just sort of there. (considers)
After school I'm still only sort of there. But more active.
O: How much have they changed in the past five years?
A lot! See, we used to get picked on a lot. Basically we were a bunch of losers.
I had space-themed b-day parties and was into stuff like Star Trek. How lame is that?
Now we're still losers, but we punch Santa Claus in the face and run away with his beard. People change to the other side of the sidewalk when they see us.
Also I'm connected now. Max's dad taught me a lot. We're all going to work for him, regardless of how well we finish school.
(as an afterthought, more quietly:) I'm still into Star Trek... a little.
N: Are they clumsy and/or prone to accidents?
...nor prone to accidents.
Sergio Romeo helped me with some product testing for the sealed section of my catalogue. (said with a smug grin)
R: When’s the last time they had a birthday party?
I never had one. I... I admit I fled from the mansion shortly before my first birthday because I was afraid the others might get ideas. I mean, there were tons of other reasons why I left. But this one definitely figured in.
(Note: This Brandon's birthday is in August, after the end of the first story)
A: Who are their exes? Do they still keep in touch?
Mia and it's difficult. We think we are still in love, but we also think we paired up too early. There are so many other fish in the ocean... So we allowed each other to check out what this world has to offer and see if we will perhaps miss each other. Crazy, huh? So planned and rational!
Anyway, it's the reason I moved out of the mansion to an old fishing hut of Jacques'. The others are over often. Mia, too.
N: Are they clumsy and/or prone to accidents?
I shouldn't be clumsy at all, but sometimes I fail QTEs. Between you and me, that's a level of "lifelike programming" I could live without!
(Note: This Brandon is very focused on the digital world, up to paying less attention to his surroundings than he should and could. That's why the accidents and failures.)
D: What time does their day usual start?
I'm active all around the clock, with short breathers every four to five hours.
But if you want to know how I decide when to say "yesterday" instead of "earlier today", well, for me the day starts with dawn, not at an artificial midnight. When nature comes alive, first the early birds and then the sun rises over the Rhine... that never gets old.
O: How much have they changed in the past five years?
Let me see... I got assembled, activated, did what I was told to do, deviated...
Meh. I can't really say if I have changed or if I'm just pronouncing what always has been there more now. I know for example that I enjoy everything business related. But there's days when accounting is just a task to finish before I can go party and then there's days when I'd like nothing better than going from house to house in person until every last RK900 is sold. It ebbs and flows, like, constantly. That crazy deviant brain of mine is STILL doing it's own thing half of the time.
(considers the answers before this one)
Hey, I just caught onto something! I apprecciate nature more than when I first came to Windenburg!
