What to do!

Completely torn on how to prepare for this whole thing. According to the other members of the cast we will be getting announced next month. I’m not going to lie the thought of this all happening has been giving me anxiety. It’s that once in a lifetime chance that will change your life. I been waiting for this. Wanting this. Telling myself my whole life. When I get “famous” I’ll get skinny. Well here we are. Nada. I’m so overwhelmed with analysis paralysis I’m having problems getting everyday things done.

I recently asked someone from one of the linkedin forums I am a member and here was his response: "Congrats Brandon,

I get asked about what’s the best social media platform / strategy a lot. I think the answer is logical. Before you start thinking about the “What”(ex. tactics) “Where” (ex. which platform) “When” (ex. timing of your action) and “How” (ex. the logistics or execution of your plan)–

You need to be thinking about “Who” and “Why.”

Who = who is your audience? If you say 18-34 year old’s you’re going to lose. Where are the people you hope to reach? Go where your people are and ignore places they are not.

Try and pick a singular group or better yet, find a muse. Is she a college student between 18-22? Does she love gourmet food and live only on the West Coast? Get as specific as you can be to identify your primary target. Will you also reach 18-34 year old’s?

Yes, there will likey be a halo effect to others but make sure you’re laser focused on one or more targets individually and make sure that message rings their bell.

In this case the “Why” is not your intent, it’s your goal or objective. Why do you think you need to use social media? What’s the point? What do you hope to accomplish? Here are some possible example goals:

1. To build a social following of at least 100k Twitter followers in 6 months to be able to communicate with my fans and establish myself as an influencer in my space.

2. To build a social following on Instagram of 50k followers to get the attention of casting agents or agencies who might be looking at my Instagram feed to cast me in future roles.

3. To build my social following to [……………] in order to leverage future commercial and brand deals.

etc.

Figure out the “Who” and “Why” and the What | Where | When | How will flow from them.

That's What It's Made For | Brandon & Leo

Leo ran a hand through his hair, messing it up again before deciding to just leave it. It’d only get messed up anyway. He left his room, shoving his hands into his pockets as he walked along the hall slowly, staring at the walls. He already knew he was getting sick of the place and he hadn’t even been there a day. When he got to room three, he waited for a few seconds, just deciding if he was actually going to go through with it. It’s not like he’d never been with a boy before, but he hadn’t for the longest time whilst he was sober. He could hardly remember the last time he had even kissed anyone and he was completely sober, it’d been so long ago. After weighing out the pros and cons in his mind, he balled his hand up and knocked on the door twice before stepping back and waiting for Brandon to open the door.
