Best movie based ps2 games? What video game based on movies did you actually enjoy?
OOF, I've never played a lot of them, so forgive me for the short list, lol.
I do like the Coraline, Toy Story 3, and the Bratz series on PS2.
Coraline was a nice way to spend a rainy day inside, has some puzzle stuff, and is easy to beat. The game's incentive to replay the campaign is to earn more in-game currency (I think it was buttons?) to unlock her other movie outfits and I think that's neat.
Toy Story 3 is a lot more platformy and collectible/completionist-based for rewards like cosmetics and I think buffs too?, with mini missions in the main menu hub. It also adds new campaign missions that aren't exactly what you see in the movie, like Woody's dining room mission in Andy's house and the plant motif in bonnie's house. I played it a lot to complete everything, lol.
The Bratz games are ones I've never seen the movies they're based on besides the cutscenes inserted into the games, lol. It's a cute game that focuses on fashion more than anything (except girlz really rock which has music, fashion designer, dancing, skydiving, and golf sections). And surprisingly, different installments have different features? kinda difficult to explain but some locations that youve played in before in another game are locked in another, pet treatz mini-games only show up in forever diamondz, and different games include diff fashion brands. I personally like Rock Angelz and Girlz Really Rock cuz I like my music games, lol. RA for the mix of british punk and sophisticated french aesthetics, and GRR for the story ands the amount of stuff that's included in that game.
