3/28 on TCGS - The Camera Cannon w/Kurt Braunohler and Cesspool!

Hello everyone. Last week’s episode was tough! That game didn’t make as much sense as I thought, and when we did figure it out, man was it boring. Luckily Murf called out Gimghoul, Bananaman had something important to say, Dan Klein gave fantastic fruit reviews, Mindtroll rocked hard, and THE HINTMASTER was born. Those bits helped us get through what was probably our least successful game ever.

Before I get into this week’s episode, I just wanted to make sure everyone knows about the existence ofOur Store  - we have t-shirts, stickers, and pins for sale. If you are a fan and supporter of the show, please do enjoy that stuff. We’re happy it exists and hope you dig it!

Now this week’s show we will be doing everything we can to make television a two way experience. In the democratic world of the internet, in an era when video games are as high quality as television, it makes no sense to me that you as a viewer should be asked to just sit and watch some TV show. You should be able to actively participate in TV. You should be able to control it!

And with that, the idea of the CANNON CAMERA is born. Here’s the basic idea – anyone who calls our show will have a chance to figure a gun at the panel. This is not a joke.

Basically, here’s how it works -

1. Each of our panelists will bring a prize of their choosing to the show.

2. One of our panelists will be secretly holding a Lose Well pin. The Hintmaster will be on hand to give hints as to who is holding it.

3. If a caller correctly guesses who is holding the pin, the caller will have a chance to shoot that panelist with THE CAMERA CANNON. The Camera Cannon will be a large nerf rocket launcher mounted ON OUR CAMERA. It will be up to the viewer to direct the camera to what the feel is the right trajectory before they say the word fire.

4. If they hit the panelist, they will win the gift that the panelist brought with them.

Couldn’t be simpler, right?

I am very psyched that this week we’ll be welcoming my friend Kurt Braunohler to the show. Kurt is a fantastic comedian here in NYC who I feel like is a real kindred spirit to our show. He’s another New Yorker who loves when things get weird. You might know Kurt’s street theater work with Kurtbot and Chengwin, and that should serve ample evidence that this guy is down with our brand of strangeness. On top of all that, Kurt is the host of the upcoming IFC game show Bunk, and I can say firsthand that it is a super bizarre, super funny show.

On top of all that, we have the music of CESSPOOL. They are amazing. I am super psyched to welcome them to the show. I have listened to their music and I honestly don’t know exactly how to describe it except to say that I love it. Spazzy and strange and honest but also not serious at all. Perhaps most important of all, their album cover is a drawing of the outline of a unicorn with a really big dick. And their name is Cesspool. Get on board.
