Parenthood

Drew- My poor baby! That's all i could say the entire episode. I respect and admire that he left it up to Amy, but I am glad that the writers are showing his side as a parent who wanted to keep the kid. I think that today most of our society thinks as the teen dads always being the ones to step out, and that's not really the case. I actually couldn't believe the fact that Amy went through with it (I actually still had like a 2% hope that she kept it, until I saw Drew crying). I was a little mad at her because he was there, and I actually thought he was going to maybe even become a single dad. But okay, i'll stop there.

Sarah + Hank + Mark- girl, get yo shit together. Like at this point I think Mark is a better choice (if I were in her shoes) because he already gets Drew so much, and like he is 100% there for Sara, but Hank has the experience of life that Sara needs, and this was the first episode where he showed interest for her.

Max- People on his tag need to calm down for a bit. It is true that he wasn't ready for the talk about girls, but that doesn't mean he is gay. I have a 17 year old cousin with Aspergers and one of the things I talk about with my aunt is that she has no interest whatsoever in boys. Now, I get it- boys are way more sexual biologically, but it could just be that his sexual feelings won't begin until later.

Julia- I actually can't even begin with her. Adoption at such a late age is supposed to be one of the hardest things to do- but I also think she had way too much of a sugar coated view on the process. Have we all forgotten that it was Sydney who provoked Victor to throw the bat at her? This doesn't justify his actions, but Sydney never got a consequence. And hello everything she said was that his mom didn't love him and so on so of course the only thing stuck in Victor's head is that Julia isn't his real mom. Julia hasn't actually taken the time to be with him, she always storms out when she gets frustrated because he isn't a perfect kid. No, beezy, this is parenthood that you begged for, sit down and calm down. Step into his shoes, because I swear-not once has she actually placed herself in his position (and no, I don't count her making a play date with his old neighbor counts- because it wasn't continued). And have we all forgotten that she was never a stay-at-home mom? I think that has also influenced her being so angry with Victor. Props to Joel for getting mad that she was rethinking the adoption, that's why Victor can't trust, everyone gives up on him.

Crosby- I won't go there because being raised in a hispanic family has made me view the whole "living with in-laws" thing differently.

I just watched this week's episode (I always wait until the weekend so I can watch it with my mom). This week was probably one of my favorites. I especially love Amber in this episode.
