⤷ 『 [ INVITE ] : your muse asks mine into a private room with nobody else present. 』
It wasn't particularly rare for Jacob to sneak away during a gathering of the Rooks unless it was the kind of thing where they gathered for a turf war with the Templars' dogs. Most of the time, should they come together, it was at one of the clubs or hangouts with plenty of ale and cheer to go around, along with a couple of brawls usually but that's all part of the fun.
Danny dragging him away from it all also isn't particularly rare, as something could have come up and Danny was usually the best placed to come fetch him should his attention be needed elsewhere (preferably sober, in those cases). Evie had made the other her runner before as well, so there was a precedent. Ha, he knew she did actually like some of the Rooks as much as he did, regardless of how much she liked to complain about them.
However when they got away from the rambunctiousness of the party and into a quiet room with the door clicking softly closed behind them, well, he was tempted to believe there was something else at play. Danny would be far more rushed if something important was going on that required Jacob's particular brand of mischief after all.
Instead his eyes sparkled in the dim light and a smirk tugged at his lips, one he found mirrored on his friend's face. After all, they were gang leader and subordinate, but they were also Jacob and Danny, friends. On occasion more than friends as well, actually. From the look of things, that was exactly what he'd been tugged away from the party for, and he can't help the chuckle that slips past his lips at the realisation.
"Missed me that much, Danny~?" He teases openly, not at all minding the interruption to the festivities and instead approaching the other in a slow, almost seductive gait. (Evie would likely comment he wouldn't know seductive if it bit him in the arse, but he was tempted to disagree, personally.)
"How about we have a little celebration of our own then, hm~?"
