Looking to improve myself.
I watched an episode of Bravo's "Love without Borders". It's not my type of program but I'm always open to new things. Just watching this one episode I learned love has no expiration date. Yep, this guy doesn't grow stagnant with time, I just keep learning. I mentioned this to my wife and she just called me ridiculous. Excuse my thirst for knowledge honey. Speaking of love, I was attending a family get-together recently. Lots of children I know but don't know well. One had recently broken up with his girlfriend. I told him just don't worry about it. Blah, Blah Blah. I was trying to be encouraging. I told him to remember that saying: "If at first, you don't succeed". He jumped in with "I know, try try again." I shot back what are you talking about? If at first, you don't succeed, try someone homelier! The boy laughed, but a couple of mothers heard me and I'm sure told on me to my daughters. No one likes a tattle-tale. I called someone a Doofus to my daughter today. She looked at me and said: "Dad you are always calling people names." I told her I know, but I do it the politically correct way, which is behind their backs. I then asked if that person was a Doofus. She said: "Well Yeah". See, case closed. I read an article recently that claims that the happiest husbands are men who are deaf. Really. You know what I can believe it. I think children are wonderful. Mine are great and my grandchildren are fantastic. I had someone I didn't know hardly at all spout off about how the kids in his life are growing so fast. I told him I know exactly what you mean. One minute Junior is having you take him for his first Jock Strap. The next minute you're helping him pick out his first training bra.
