That's the path I chose when I wrote my Scarlet Briar AU.

Getting "asks" is something I used to look forward to. Engaging with people on here was something I wanted to do. And it was "ok" for a little while, then it dropped off quickly.
Mostly, because of myself I'm sure.
I rarely interact with anyone in the GW2 community on Tumblr anymore...mainly because...almost everyone I used to interact with is gone. And now, most of the time I just lurk here. Scrolling through tags during breaks and lunch while at work, or after I get home from work.
I'd love to interact with more people. But I realize that I don't have a lot in common with most of the GW2 community here.
And with that, it's even a struggle to post this. "Why post this?" lurks in the back of my head.
Anyway...stuff and things.
Arenanet really missed a mark with Icebrood Saga.
Grothmar Valley was an amazing map. Bright and beautiful with lots of fun events and a good story. Followed by Bjora Marches, another fantastic map with its completely opposite dark and spooky environment and dark story.
Then we go to Drizzlewood Coast. This...this is where it starts to go bad. While I liked the map and such, there should have been more story taking place in the northern Shiverpeaks which would lead us to a smaller style expansion which would focus on the Charr Civil War taking place in northern most Ascalon and spilling over into the Woodland Cascades. The end of the Civil War would find Jormag and Ryland gone into the Mists.
Then the next story could have been focused on the Asura and dealing with a reawakening Primordus. This could take us into the underground caverns while at the same time Jormag and Ryland return with Jormag wanting to sever the link between the two elder dragons. Ultimately this story arc would finish with a Dragonstorm like instance that takes place im the surrounding area around the Eye of the North.
To the LGBTQ+ community. I am not of your community but I am an ally. I applaud you. I respect you. I support you. You are all individuals that deserve every bit of respect and well being that everyone should have.
With that being said...
How in the hell can a gay man support the political party that wants to takes the rights of the LGBQT+ community away?
I stayed completely off Tumblr for the past 24 hours (except to thank @harukehn for drawing Nafiona for the VS Art Party) because I felt it was doing me harm mentally. (Thank you @jorasdottir for reaching out.)
Not looking at anyone's artwork, screenshots, not reading what anyone wrote for the past 24 hours made me realize the emotional toll the GW2 community was taking on me.
I said I expected too much (and feeling like an outcast didn't help) and that what was hurting. Being away for 24 hours, and the little talk I had with @jorasdottir has started to change my outlook mentality about the GW2 community here.
I'll still post stuff, but I wont care about note counts anymore.
If you like what I post, that's fantastic. If you just scroll by, that's ok too.

I really wonder why some people continue to play Guild Wars 2. It seems they are never happy with anything the dev team developes and just complain about anything and everything, no matter how small. I know they deserve are not perfect, but they are providing us with entertainment that some of us enjoy, myself included.
If these players aren't happy with the game Arenanet is creating and the decisions that have been made, those players should look elsewhere.

Looked at the note count against a large number of posts under each search and the amount of posts with low notes against them is staggering.
In my opinion, the GW2 community here has indeed imploded. A lot of the names that I used to see posting a lot are gone, with only a remaining few always getting big hits on their posts. The only other things that seem to be getting big note counts are anything with picture of Trahearne, whether it be screenshot or artwork, pictures of Caithe, and a post showing off a piece of professional artwork.
I loved this community when I first joined. Still do to a point, but it is definitely suffering.
You ever want someone to talk to, but you find yourself not saying anything because you're just sure no one cares what you have to say? So you just sit quietly by yourself keeping all your thoughts cooped up inside and you're like "I really wish I had someone to talk to."
I get that feeling a lot.
