Tried painting a Brazen Claw. This was really fun, and not nearly as hard as I thought it would be, I’m gonna try painting some more of them soon!

My first Deathwatch Marine.
A Brazen Claw.
OH SHIT THERE HE IS THE BRAZEN BOY HIMSELF HOLY FUCK!!
Painted the flamer. I think the NMM turned out rather well. I gotta work on highlighting the scorched area at the front and also just getting some metallic edge highlights on the other end, but that’s a Future Me problem.
I also tried to get the armadillo pattern on the termagant. Less happy with this guy. Oh well. I’ll fix that later.
Some more Among Us/ Warhammer 40k crossover Astartes Crewmates! If you’d like one of your own chapter or character they can be commissioned for the low low price of $20 plus accessories! First accessory free!!!
Well, I’ve finally finished a model for the first time in months (since November, to be precise). Here are some shots I took in the kitchen at almost 2 a.m.
I really enjoyed painting this guy. He kicked off this “eh just fuck around with it” vibe that I think really helped me improve and have a good time. Painting him was a lovely experience. He was a pleasure to have in class.
On the other hand, I’m so glad to be done with this little bastard. Now I can paint other things and not feel bad about never finishing my projects. And hopefully the next one will take less time… hopefully…
Back at it again with this Brazen Ass Bitch. Did the metal on the face and touched up the flamer ever so slightly. He’s almost done. He’s all coming together. Love it.
I don’t know how the hell people paint full armies when it takes me this long to paint one(1)(singular) marine. I started this guy in August. It’s almost June. Oh well. Fortunately for me I don’t play the game and just like the models.
Didn’t bring any metallic paints with me to college, so I tried out NMM for this guy. Now that I’ve done the Aquila, I feel like the rest of the model may be lacking. I feel like you can see the spot where the most effort was concentrated. But maybe not. Gonna do the rest of the metal eventually and see how I feel then.
I’ve been working on this guy recently. I didn’t know how to paint him up at first because of two conflicting ideas, the first being that I like Iron Hands and the second being that I want to paint bright colors. That’s when I learned about the Brazen Claws, an Iron Hands successor with a red and blue color scheme. I swapped the head with one from my Skitarii Rangers, and now I’ve got this. I plan to freehand the Claws’ chapter symbol on the pauldron, which is likely going to be a learning experience wrapped in a nightmare. Looking forward to it!
