I was also compelled
I’m obsessed with my 19 year old coworker. I was telling him about how my crashout divorced dad got a sugar mommy by going to random churches and having screaming sobbing breakdowns in the pews until a random rich christian widow was like ‘I can fix him’. And he went ‘yo thats tech. The meta is changing.’
Figuring out how to sculpt church bas-relief
The statue of the Great Crusade Hero in an abandoned city, with a believer painting his eyes gold 😌
So I just watched all of the Super Mario Galaxy movie. I don’t mean to be overly dramatic or anything, but I hate that movie like it’s my nemesis. It’s emblematic of so many problems I have with modern movies, both as an industry and how people interact with them. I watched that movie because my little brother wanted me to watch it with him, and he is the only person I know whose enjoyment of the movie is reasonable to me. This is because he is nine years old. I know far too many adult human beings who have called that movie great.
but do you play shorter games with worse graphics made by people who are paid more to work less 🤨
the thing about "I want shorter games with worse graphics made by people who are paid more to work less and I'm not kidding" is that these games exist and are out there and you have to make the conscious choice to seek them out instead of just expecting the big companies to deliver this, because they will not

Abnett you rascal
I’m gonna be honest it could be any of these at any time.
I don't have time for tumblr discourse they're calling the very hungry caterpillar degenerate art over on twitter
good art is when something looks like real life, the more real it looks the more better the art. abstracted figures give my trad children nightmares, one time they were exposed to cubism and couldn't go outside for a week
To put it very bluntly.
You will always make a better impact helping people who need it than trying to hurt people you think deserve it.
As a kid, I was really upset that Bill Watterson wouldn't license Calvin & Hobbes so I could have plushies or so there would be a Saturday morning cartoon. Now, I realize his resistance is the reason we don't have a Calvin & Hobbes DreamWorks movie starring Chris Pratt.
Everybody say thank you to Our Lord of Artistic Integrity, Bill Watterson.
