I should’ve considered the idea of free-handing the Iron Hands clan markings before I decided to paint an Iron Hands marine that I have zero transfers for.

Every single one of these has a gear with all its many teeth and then a little bitty thing in the middle. This is gonna suck ass and look like ass. Alas, such is life.

Also, I may have found a slight solution to the gear problem. I have a decal sheet from a box of skitarii from way back, and I might be able to use a gear decal from that to make painting the clan marker much easier. Although to do that I need to find out where I put the sheet, which is gonna be a problem because I found out tonight that it is not where I thought it was, which means it could be just about anywhere else.

And yeah I’m definitely gonna post it when it’s done. At least half of the reason I started this blog in the first place was so I could post my minis somewhere. I’ll probably post a WIP of him tomorrow when I figure out what the hell I’m doing with his base. Can’t figure out if I want to do ash-blasted wasteland (feels fitting with the Hands’ general terribleness) or a more colorful base (contrasts with the mostly monochrome marine, and also I like pretty colors). Decisions, decisions.
