Questions!
1. Do you cry when something terrible happens, or do you wonder why you don’t care? My reaction is either instantaneous or delayed - I can take action then and there, or internalise it and wait until i'm alone or removed from the situation before I let fly.
2. Do you want to go to your own prom/did you go? We had a Year 10 and a senior formal and I went to both. My friends and I went to both as a group but with the senior formal there was one token guy amongst us that we all wanted to go with, but instead of fighting over him, we just decided to all have our photos taken with him and go in together. It wasn't all that important to us. Also, my best friend and I ended up getting the exact same gown and we found that utterly perfect so we got separate photos of us twinning.
3. Something you love but everyone else you know has no idea what you’re talking about? Music, basically. Or the business side, to be exact. The people i've bored with that information. That and useless trivia thrown in during a conversation because it was vaguely related and I saw an in. I'm that person.
4. What you want to be when you get out of high school. Way past high school - said I was going to be a writer or running a record label. Close enough.
5. The one thing you wish you would have done but didn’t, or the one thing you always wanted to do, and the one thing you really wish you hadn’t done but did. I would've spent more time with him. I've had a secret desire to try life modelling, just once, to see if I can do it. Also zorbing. I wish I hadn't let fear and insecurity hold me back so many times.
6. The one person (and only one person) that you want to meet before you die. Come on.
7. The one person (and only one person) who has given you the greatest impact on your life, and please if you can help it, don’t pick something cliched like you mother or a famous celebrity whom you’ve never met. Make it personal. If I can only choose one, i'd say my dearly departed best friend for showing me how to see the humour in every situation and to be kind and patient when others can not.
8. When you get a car, or when you got one, what would be/was the first song you played? Fun little fact: I've never had a car. Not once. Nope. But I did have a motorcycle for a while and I made sure the first song I played on my iPod once I got on the road was "Common People" by Pulp. If you're not pumped when you listen to this, check your pulse.
9. If you could dance to any song with one person, who would it be and why? "Greek Song" by Rufus Wainwright. No explanation.
10. If you could tell one person anything in the world, what would it be? You are loved, respected and believed in. That's all.
11. If you were in Harry Truman’s situation during WWII when he was forced to decide whether or not to drop the atomic bomb on the Japanese, what would you have done and why? I'm a pacifist so my automatic response would be not to drop it, but I haven't stood where he did so I can't make that call objectively.
