Pork roll is breakfast pepperoni
I pour my milk first because one too many times I didn't have enough milk but now if I don't have cereal I just get to drink milk from a bowl like a king.
A slow morning :)
A sunny breakfast time :)
the trick in getting your gf to eat her veggies is to stick meat on top of it so they soak up that beefy flavor
Grateful heart and thankful spirit
As expected I came to my moment where I had to accept that I was not going to be able to follow through 100% with my new years resolution. But! I’m still following through with posting. So here it goes! Last night I decided to go to Bryan’s house to spend some time with him because we hadn’t seen each other in a while. So my plan was to go to Dunkin Donuts and enjoy a tea before work and write my post for the day, but of course there was a thick layer of ice on my car and so I was late. But here I am! With a honey roasted turkey and provolone sandwich on whole wheat bread, some raspberries, and veggie chips for dinner.
On my way home from work I was especially excited because there was no traffic at all and so I figured I’d be getting home early for once. And on a Friday? Yes! As soon as I started getting close to my exit though, there was traffic and I got so disappointed. There I was, so close to getting home a whole 20 minutes earlier than usual, now stuck in traffic. Now traffic makes anyone frustrated, but as soon as I realized why there was traffic I felt so guilty.
There in the middle of the highway was a four car accident, with one car totaled, another spun out completely, and two others on the side of the highway. I immediately thought about how much stress those individuals were under, especially the one who was now having to figure out how they were getting home and how they were going to pay for a new car. I thought of their families and loved ones probably worried sick thinking about how their loved ones were in the middle of the highway cold and stressed out. Yet I was in my new car, warm, and my biggest stress was getting home 20 minutes earlier than normal.
Sometimes it takes moments like these to remember just how grateful we should be, and serve as humbling reminders of all that we have. I’m hopeful that they were okay and sending my love and light to them. And I am grateful that I got home safely even if it was later than I expected.
Here’s to hoping tomorrow I am able to do my brunch post and post a picture of the yummy omelette I am already dreaming about!
