Being on crunch time makes me realize various things. One of which is that there is a fine line between being kind and being a pushover. Being kind is respecting others' time as you respect yours, showcasing your discipline on how you organize and do your tasks in value of how it would affect how others do theirs. But being a pushover is letting other people disrespect you by disrespecting how you value your time. Letting them say that "My time is more valuable than your time." Moreover, being a pushover is compensating others' incompetence through excuses and doubling your effort to amend the inefficiency. "It is bad news when you hate your job in the first hour of the first day of office" . Took a few minutes to go through one of my favourite books this morning: Two States by Chetan Bhagat. I found this profound hatred for a job absolutely relatable before I started to write. What made it special was the 'South Asian' intricacies of the story. Guarantees a chuckle every time I flip through this one. . Also copious amounts of strawberry jam and butter make multigrain bread edible.
