Dating being trans is exhausting. When is the right time to disclose you are trans? I'm not going to mention it as soon as I meet a person because trans people do not have an obligation to accommodate to transphobia. The first picture here is when I was in my last relationship, which ended because I decided to medically transition. That was almost 3 years ago. I soul searched, I found myself and spent those years figuring out what I want. Why is it still so hard to date after all those years? Our existence threatens to undermine the gender binary itself. And for that, we are constantly facing hate. I will not give into your transphobia. Going through my transition gave me so much insight about gender stereotypes and how society perceives gender.
