Sowohl THE PRODIGY als auch MARTEN HÖRGER (SmashHifi) stellen sich im aktuellen Voting zum BreakBeat-Acts des Jahres - dem BREAKSPOLL 2013 - zur Wahl. Noch bis zum 11. Februar rufen die Organisatoren zur Stimmabgabe, bevor dann am 2. März die Gewinner - und damit die besten Vertreter des Breakbeats ausgerufen werden.

All Good Funk Alliance, the duo of Frank Cueto and Rusty Bellicek have opened up for the legendary James Brown, written songs for Coca-Cola, and have had their tunes appear on the Breakspoll Top 50 list. Applauded by both critics and fans, All Good Funk Alliance (AGFA) are also loved by DJs who know that playing AGFA can get asses moving in the club.
Today marked the release of their Rhythm and FX EP which offers audiophiles, fans, critics and DJs a taste of the material which will appear on their forthcoming full-length, Jacks of All Trades. (Both will be released by Fort Knox Records by the way.) Reportedly, the new album and the material on the EP reflect a departure from their signature sound. In fact, the new material, of which you'll hear from the single, "Sound Plus Matter" will be genre spanning, while featuring thumping go-go drums, spaced out synth lines, and deep bass. It's still remains funky as hell and will get clubs losing their minds, I think.
