Raise your hand if you’ve ever been personally victimized by Dacre Montgomery’s sexiness
I took Cassie for her follow up with the Respiratory Specialist this morning and 10 days before her second birthday she’s been officially diagnosed with Asthma. It’s a bit of a relief really considering the last year and a half of emergency room and hospital stays for her breathing. She said there is a small likelihood she could grow out of it at about age 7/8 however due to the immediate family who suffered and still suffer from asthma that started as young children we still have. So she said it is small but still chance so we’ll be hoping she does grow out of it unlike me and my sister who still suffer from it. I was surprised to have the diagnosis as many have said their little ones showed signs early on and they’re now 4/5 years old and they won’t definitely say if it is or not. #asthma #childhoodasthma #twin #asthmatic #respiratoryillness #breathingdifficulties #cassieelizabeth

Common Signs of Rib Misalignment: Pain, Discomfort and Breathing DifficultiesWhen your ribs are misaligned, you may experience pain or discomfort in your chest or back. This can be caused by injury, poor posture, or repetitive motions. Sharp or dull pain in the chest or back Tenderness or soreness in the affected area Pain that worsens with movement or breathing In addition to pain, rib misalignment can also cause breathing difficulties. This is because the ribs play a crucial role in the respiratory system, and any misalignment can affect the lungs' ability to expand and contract. Shortness of breath Trouble taking deep breaths Wheezing or coughing If you're experiencing any of these symptoms, it's important to seek medical attention. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can detect soft tissue injuries. Computed tomography (CT) scans provide detailed images of bone and soft tissue. Doctors may also perform physical exams, checking for tenderness, swelling, and range of motion. They may ask about symptoms like pain, difficulty breathing, and coughing. Doctors may also use ultrasound to examine the ribs and surrounding tissues. Blood tests can identify underlying conditions that may contribute to rib misalignment. Let’s consider the respiratory system which has many parts, like the nose, throat pharynx and larynx windpipe, and lungs. Air comes in through the nose and is carried down to the lungs through a process referred to a s inspiration. In the lungs, the oxygen is transferred to red blood cells, these blood cells then carry the oxygen to other organs in the body which the physical process of a healthy body. While oxygen is being transferred to the red blood cells, carbon dioxide is transferred from red blood cells into the lungs which then is carried out through the nose through a process referred to as expiration. This cyclic motion of breathing is controlled by the respiratory center in the brain and nerves in the chest. Diseases that affect the respiratory system and or respiratory center in the brain can bring about breathing difficulties. Term for laboured breathing is referred to as dyspnea, excessive breathing is referred as tachypnea also known as polypnea. Depending on the severity of the problem they can become life threatening. The symptoms of dyspnea: Breathing with an open mouth, nostrils may flare open when breathing, the belly and chest move when breathing, neck and head are held low and out in front of the body, noisy breathing (stridor) problem when breathing in or out. Fast Breathing known as tachypnea when rate is faster than normal, mouth is usually closed. Panting, Fast Breathing, usually shallow breaths, open mouth other symptoms could be coughing So, what causes these issues? Can be many reasons like infection with bacteria or viruses, tumours, bleeding, diseases of the nose, small nostrils, foreign object stuck in the throat, roof of the mouth is too long, (enlongated soft palate), diseases of the throat and upper windpipe (trachea). Diseases of the lungs and lower windpipe, infection with bacteria or viruses (pneumonia), heart failure with fluid in the lungs (pulmonary enema), enlarged heart, infection with heart worms, bleeding into the lungs, diseases of the small airways in the lungs (bronchi and bronchioles), allergies, asthma. With diseases in the space in the chest surrounding the lungs (pleural space) can cause heart failure, air (pneumothorax) blood in the chest (hemothorax) or tumours in the chest. Diseases of the chest wall caused by injury and toxins. Diseases that make the belly enlarged or bloated, enlarged liver, stomach filled with air, fluid int the belly (ascites) If the breathing is fast referred to as Tachypnea this means low oxygen level in the blood (hpoxemia) low red blood cell level (anemia) or asthma. High body temperature fever. If your cat has Asthma which is referred to as allergic bronchitis, is very similar to the asthma we humans get, which is an allergic reaction that causes the spasms in the airway. The spasms can lead to swelling and difficulty in breathing, this in some cats can be a chronic problem, while for others it can be seasonal. So what triggers the Asthma? Grass and pollen, cat litter if it is clay, pine, cedar etc, certain foods, household cleaners and sprays, smoke from cigarettes, cigars, fireplaces, candles etc, dust, dust mites, mild, perfumes and cosmetics. Feline heart worm disease. If your cat’s airway is restricted, the ability to breath can become life threatening in just minutes. The signs can be a bit like having a cold, coughing wheezing, runny eyes, gurgling throat, rapid, shallow breathing, frequent swallowing, open mouth breathing, taking quick breaths, increased pulse. Reducing asthma by removing stress and substances that can create the situation, changing litter and food. Find Product
Know what to do
It’s difficult to breath at the moment
Wednesday to Thursady evening, last week, was a bit scary: I woke up with my right arm very cold and tingly. I just thought I slept on it but I also had pain on my chest. I couldn't find my reliever pump. i tried to rest and to fall back asleep but in vain. I started to feel anxious and agitated so I call 111. I was told that it was nothing serious and to take some painkillers for the pain. I did.
In the morning I slept until 12, then until 3pm. My chest felt tight and breathing was diffcult. I called my best friend who encouraged me to call back 111 but I ended up booking an emergency appointment at the doctor. Again, was told it was nothing serious. I needed to rest.
I went back home and rested. I took more painkillers, I had another pump. I settled down in bed and watched Netflix.
I was feeling emotionally and physically exhausted. I know some anxiety is hiding somewhere. I have felt quite emotional since my trip to Paris. I also have had worries about my Muscular Dystrophy. Maybe dating, even though it is going well, is a bit scary too.
Now though, I wonder if it is another symptom of my Muscular Dystrophy. People who suffer from the same type of dystrophy as the one I suffer from, can experience mild to severe breathing difficulties - sometimes needing breathing aids. I received a letter confirming that I will have an appointment in Neurology on the 14th of November. There is a bit of a wait but I expected that. With the current state of the NHS, I was lucky to get an appointment at all. I am chanting to received the best medical support, I am sure that helped.
It was a bit challenging with my Daughter over the week end. She had extra energy and was extra cheeky. I had little energy. I wanted to rest some more, to have more alone and to switch off. I don't know why. I am not even torturing myself trying to find out why. I do my best to look after myself. I managed well with the little lady but I felt a bit s**t not to have enough energy to join in the cheekiness. It was hard to be patient. I am feeling guilty for not being the best mum I can be... Which is me being hard on myself really. "Stop being hard on yourself." I repeat to myself. I am going through a delicate patch, I don't know why, but it doesn't make me less of a Mother. I felt like I needed more rest, alone in the comfort of my bed. I wanted to switch off. I definitively did that on Sunday evening.
As I mentioned above,I am dating. I am starting to look forward to our daily conversation. We are going for a walk this week and we will, at some point, celebrate her Gohonzon receiving (Gohonzon=Buddhist scripture we chant in front of. It represents our lives.) I really like talking to her, We are slowly opening up to each other. It is nice.
I know I am struggling to accept that I am starting to like her. It is early days so I still need to take it easy but, it is ok to like someone, right?
Feel free to share your thoughts.
