Azriel x Reader Birthday Headcanons
Azriel greets you with some soft and sweet kisses on the morning of your birthday, he smiles against your skin when you slowly wake up, "good morning, beautiful, today is your day."
you have to grin to yourself and it is then that Azriel slips out of bed, not being gone for too long as he has already prepared most things the previous evening, only needs to take care of the things that need to be fresh - he returns with a tray full of your favourite dishes and a birthday cake specifically made for you, setting it up in bed so you can have breakfast there
Azriel will tell you about the day he has planned for you, picnic later on, the dinner with your family and many more things he knows you love
your morning will be slow and soft, filled with many kisses and soft touches, giggling and some light chatting
breakfast takes a while as Azriel has brought too many things, and especially all your favourite things
once he puts the tray aside and cleans the mattress of all the crumbs he will make some soft love to you, of course nothing rushes you and so he takes his time to bring you the most pleasure
over and over he tells you that your are the most beautiful female alive, that your are the sole reason for his happiness and that he is luckiest male that to have you in his life
once your slightly sweaty bodies fall back onto the bed, chest heaving a little, he tells you that especially on your birthday he cannot thank the Mother enough for you being born and being placed in his life
as said before, Azriel has the whole day planned out for you (but obviously he made sure at first you are alright with that, maybe you also just want a calm day or meet with your friends and family)
but you obviously loved his idea, and so a fully packed picnic basket awaits you in the kitchen
Azriel will take you flying for a little, you hold onto the basket and he lands on a beautiful meadow where there is already a blanket spread out under a big oak tree which provides the necessary shadow for the two of you
Azriel has once again packed all your favourite foods, snacks, fruits and sparkling wine
you will spend most of the day there, just chatting, napping for a little and of course eating
it is also where Azriel gives you some of your presents, a big bouquet, knowing you love it, a beautiful necklace and earrings
at home another present (another bookshelf for your private library) awaits you, but he keeps it a secret for now, just tells you there is more waiting for you at home
when the sun starts to set, Azriel will fly you back home, finally show you your last present, kiss you softly and then the two of you will get ready to go out for dinner with your family
dinner is lovely and you stay for very long
later, when it is already dark outside, Azriel will take you out onto the balcony where you will watch the stars for a while and he will make another love declaration to you, promising his endless love for you
