Please join us as we celebrate the end of our summer reading program! The event will include a raffle with awesome prizes donated by the Houses that will help to fund next year’s program. This is a fun event for all to attend!

ooc:  This charitable event is held each year and the Heads of each House all attend and support. It will begin on Saturday, August 22nd, and will extend for a few days.

Spring into Summer

Summer is fast approaching and that means Vannes Country Club is getting ready to kick off it’s summer season with the annual Spring into Summer fun day on  Saturday 9th May.

While the country club is open all year round this event marks the opening of the outdoor pool and the terrace area for the restaurant.  The event begins at 2pm and highlights include the tennis tournament, open to both singles and doubles, a mini 9 hole golf tournament and the fun gymkhana for those who ride.  Bring your swim wear for a dip in either the indoor or outdoor pool and enjoy the complimentary cocktails and barbeque which are on offer well into the evening.

All members of noble families are automatically enrolled in the country club.  While some will visit regularly and others avoid it, the Spring into summer event is always well attended and while the sports can become competitive there is plenty on offer to allow everyone to pass a few hours relaxing.

This is a whole rp event, however there is no need to let the main know if any of your characters will be entering any of the competitions.  The information is there to allow you to hc or discuss on the dash.

The event will run on the dash from Saturday 9th May until Tuesday 12th May and you can tag any relevant posts with the tag bretonspring2022.

Our first Breton event of the year is the annual Pittengreen Ball which takes place on the 18th January at the Royal Palace.

Dress code is formal evening wear.

We will run the event starting 12 noon EST on Saturday 18th January until midnight on Monday 20th January.  After this time any threads which have been started may be continued but we would ask you not to begin any new ones.

Further information about the Pittengreen Ball and it’s origins can be found here. Anyone who has been in Breton for a few years and especially those who grew up in the country would be familiar with the history.

Welcome To Breton!

We are thrilled to announce that the Kingdom of Breton RPG is now open for interactions! 

Just a few housekeeping notes for the purpose of keeping everyone on the same page:

* The date is January 1, 2022.

* The King of Breton died six months ago in a fiery plane crash while the plane was taxiing off the runway. 

* The Duke of Vaneti, Theodore Capulet-Rennes, is the current interim Head of Government. He doesn’t intend to keep this position permanently and his goal is to select the next King or Queen of the Country by January 1, 2023.

* Unless you are part of the tiny household of Vaneti, your House may be the next to be elevated in status. 

* The Houses are not generally antagonistic to one another and frequently socialize across those House boundaries (your character may personally dislike someone though so don’t be shy about creating that kind of IC drama).

* Your character is not related to everyone in their House or may be extremely distantly related to them. Several different families may have been captured under a certain House.

* Breton is an old and proud but very small country that has an innate fear of being swallowed up its large neighbour of France and has fought for centuries against such an event.

* Breton citizens tend to be at minimum bilingual speaking both French and English and flipping between them with the relative ease of a true native speaker of the language.

* We have a locations page and feel free to ask us to add a location to this page.

Admin Note! Re Meme Days

Hello all of you wonderful writers!

We are going to try an experiment for a few weeks and see how we feel about it. A few players have indicated that Tuesdays do not work well for them and meme days. We understand that. However, we acknowledge we are unlikely to select a single day each week that works for everyone. 

So we are going to try out TWO days each week to be our Meme Days. 

We have selected Sunday and Wednesday as our trial days. Meme replies should only be posted on those days. And if you are asking for meme asks, remember to send them. Inclusivity is very important at Breton and we never want anyone to feel left out!
