Been rewatching The persuaders! in VF
It's been years since I drew these two mooks, but I saw a clip of Greensleeves the other day and now they're all I can think about 😭
I literally love these two smmmm
This is supposed to be them side-eying each other after getting threatened or smth. Probably they're aboutta tag team the guy threatening them.
I was trying a new brush out ... not sure if I like it, but I've included the less dramatic versions of the art below for your enjoyment.
(Also I was doing outfits from the show when I started drawing but ... I gave up 😅)
Brett; “First impressions are very important.”
Danny; “But I became friends with you anyway.”
Roger Moore
Seven years ago passed away Sir Roger Moore ........ R.I.P. Grand Master !!! 🍾🥂🥂🥂
going on another ‘the persuaders’ rant because i can and noticing that overall there really is no reason why these two characters spend so much time with one another. unlike most television shows of the era it isn’t a “buddy cop” scenario where they both work for the same force or danny works for US intelligence across the pond. it isn’t like a sherlock-scenario where they both live together and have a private detective agency in a spare bedroom. it’s two men who have nothing to do with one another slowly but surely gravitating towards the other.
they don’t work for judge fulton (as much as it would seem like they do) instead it’s the age old “oh hello, it’s you again” scene and i adore it.
Something interesting I noticed about James Bond actors and the characters’ names they play.
In Dante’s Peak, Pierce Brosnan’s character is named Harry Dalton, in reference to the previous JB actor before him, Timothy Dalton.
In Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, Roger Moore plays a cat named Tab Lazenby, in reference to the previous JB actor before him, George Lazenby.
In the TV series The Persuaders! Roger Moore plays basically the role of a millionaire being a private detective, Brett Sinclair (French surname) and hired by a rich man, along with Tony Curtis.
In the movie Knives Out, Daniel Craig plays the role of a private detective, Benoit Blanc (French surname) and hired by a rich family that includes Jamie Lee Curtis.
Just something my brain noticed
Lord Brett Sinclair
