Great short brewday today. Milled the grains yesterday. Filled the bt150 with 67degree tap water at 6.20am, mashed in at 6.30am, then a 4step mash, lautered at 8.30am, pitched yeast at 12.00. plus 30ā cleaning, right now itās ciping. 35kg malts plus 1.5kg saccharose ended with 110l wort in the fermenter at 16.5plato. I like the Sparge with this machine a lot. Keeping a stable liquid level at mashing still is the trickiest part. Maybe I use to much grain. But the water still tends to pile up above the grain (see images). Will try rice hulls next. It works but I donāt dare to leave it alone for more than 10ā. And chilling takes about 75ā, so a bigger chiller would be handy for this amount of wort. But hey, 6hours for a whole brewday is pretty awesome and efficiency is quite ok too. Chose to use a bucket/plug airvalve this time because of the last brewday. Safale b256 plus oxygenated Wort had a lot of power last time. Inline oxygenation works great now... I really start to get a feeling about how to play that machine. #brewtools #brewtoolsb150pro #homebrewing #homebrew #homebrewfanatic #homebrewery #homebrewer #homebrewingequipment #homebrewingtips #homebrewingbeer #bierbrauen #swissbeer #swisscraftbeer #craftbeer #brewday #brewdays (hier: Pratteln, Switzerland) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_FKnv9pxZU/?igshid=19ajvi8wlkf6p
