The fall of Breyer's Ice Cream
If you loved this as a kid, and not as much now, this may be why:

This brand used to be the epitome of high quality among the throngs of pedestrian grocery store brands. Rich, flavorful, and natural were a few adjectives that used to describe their products.
Today, there is so little cream in the product that, according to IDFA standards, it is not technically ice cream. In fact, Breyer's must now legally package their products as "Frozen Dairy Desserts".
Breyer's ice cream ditches the hormones, adds sustainable vanilla The popular brand will be made with non-rBST milk and cream and vanilla that's sustainably sourced.
I BOUGHT BREYER'S "ICE CREAM" AND IT IS NOT ICE CREAM AT ALL!
It's like some fluffy, sugar-tasting shit. I swear to God.
It says "Frozen Dessert" in tiny letters on the front fml I should have checked. The picture looks like ice cream though!!!
Ugh.
I don't think I'll be buying Breyer's, ice cream again. I've never had crumbly ice cream before, but goddamn their product is more like wet sand/clay mix than ice cream when it comes to scooping. It tastes okay, 'chocolate flavored chips' has be a bit concerned, but I've likely been eating fake food much of my life, so whatever.
This 'crumbling-apart-and-flying-everywhere-any-time-you-scoop-it' thing is enough to make me swear off the brand though. I've lost a serving already thanks to that issue, and I'm only 1/3 of the way through. This isn't an issue I've had with any other brand. How the fuck do you even manage to make ice cream crumbly? I'm not being overzealous getting it out, even being careful it still happens.
I wasn't going to eat this whole tub of ice cream, but I couldn't just let it melt...
