Amenhotep was only fifteen when he ascended the throne of Egypt due to his father dying from an illness.

He had been conditioned since birth to take the throne at a young age, as seeing as their long line of kings had always died at a young age. He was surprised that he didn’t take the throne at the age of twelve like his father,

 He never married due to the dread of his people but of course, that didn’t stop Amenhotep to party and have various lovers.

One of his lovers actually gave him the gift of a son when he was nineteen. However, his son was taken from him at the age of 14 because of the plague that wiped out half his people. 

Now that he is coming closer in age to the time that his father passed away, Amenhotep is being pressured to marry to produce another heir. Even though his heart hasn’t healed from the loss of Amon.

born to a romanian-korean family. his biological family was very poor, it took them swallowing their pride and giving up their first born. enter the king and queen of romania, they adopted ştefan. he learned years later they became more stable and had another baby, a daughter.

 he can’t remember anything from before being a prince.

he went back to his partying ways, and met his sister. that shocked him, but they grew close and she helped him start settling down and seeing how fucking stupid he was. 

he knew her about a year before he, really, fucked up. it was a simple trip, that ended in tragedy and she was gone.

that was a year ago, just before the plague consumed the earth

family: grew up in ireland, although his parents are welsh, good childhood, loves his parents to pieces. had a little sister which unfortunately died when he was 22 and she was just 5, it was an accident in which she drowned in the family’s house’s pool. gavin wasn’t around the time, being away due to his work, but he blames himself for not being able to be there for her and protect and save her.

ARW: has always wanted to protect, help and serve his country one way or another and first joined the military and later the ARW (army ranger wing), has been part of many missions, and was able to help people as he always wanted to, however, he’s seen quite a lot of bad stuff too, things he refuses to talk about, but has regular nightmares about. when his sister died while he was away on a mission, it broke something in him, and while he had been able to somwhat cope with the loses he experienced in his job so far, he wasn’t able to cope with the death of his sister.

drugs: he tried to cope by self-medicating with alcohol first, continueing with his job, but only half a year later he broke down in the middle of another mission, he doesn*t talk about what exactly happened, but the ARW saw him unfit of continuing and didn’t kick him out per-say but told him it would be better for everyone involved if he’d find a different way of income. he wasn*t sure what to make of it, the job being all he had, even if it slowly destroyed him and his mind really wasn’t working with him anymore. he suffers from PTSD however keeps this information secret, he’s ditched the alcohol for drugs to cope and self medicate

Head of the Royal Security: he honestly still isn’t sure how he even landed that job, but he is very very thankful for the opportunity. apparently the old head of security knew about his prior work and wanted him to take over when he went into pension. he’s been guarding the royal family for about 5 years now.

the prince: it wasn’t planned, and it’s very bad for everyone involved, and yet neither of them seem to be able to end it. it started as a fling, nothing serious just fun, but soon developted into something much more serious. prince oisin and he keep it secret for obvious reasons, but it pains him to see him engaged to other royals. he knows he should end it, there is no room for him in a prince’s personal life, especially if he is going to be the king one day, but it is hard to let the love of your life go

-   she is the oldest child of the turkish royal family. she was turkey’s sweetheart and it was a shock to the nation when the girl disappeared from public view from the age of twelve to fifteen. no one knows what happened and all the court has released was that she was being homeschooled during that time. that was true, but it wasn’t the full truth.

-   those three years were filled with fighting for her life, as she had bowel cancer which left her with a permanent colostomy bag. the palace hid it because they didn’t want her scrutinized, nor made fun of but it did make her feel like her body was now unattractive, especially since she was hidden away a year after she was in remission so her hair could grow back. it makes her think that her value does rely in her being attractive - which she doesn’t feel she is.

-   she hasn’t had a relationship - ever and every time she has tried, it hasn’t gone further than an admission of an attraction and her being rejected. so, her current engagement is her first relationship ever and she sees it as the only way to ever get married or have a family. she did put her foot down that she wanted to be matched with a woman, which is why she is glad to be out of turkey where it has caused quite the uproar. she does want this engagement to work out and thus hopes that the other person is also willing to invest in it.

céline noémie meyer von knonau (née von gunten)

sweet little céline was always led to believe that since her mother could not have children, shortly after getting married they adopted her from a nearby orphanage, and soon her younger sisters as well.

this was a lie, partially.

it was true that her mother couldn’t have children, but actually the illegitimate of the man she thought was her adopted father. Her biological mother was royalty, who couldn’t afford a scandal of having the child of a low-level, foreign noble and thus had her in secret and gave her away to her father. while she was pregnant, her father had met her mother, the youngest daughter of an important swiss noble family, who like him wanted to live away from the politics of court. he told her of his to-be born daughter and she told him how she was never going to be able to have children of her own. it seemed perfect really, they would be a family of their own. and so her adopted parents married, and adopted lord Von Gunten’s biological daughter. 

Céline had an ideal childhood. their family lived away from the city, near nature, near the beautiful swiss alps. they were brought up as normal girls, away from the restricted court life. they didn’t live a lavish life, but they were well off. 

her mother was Céline’s hero, she wanted to grow up to be just like her. she ran a non-profit, she taught Céline to appreciate what she had, and try to help those less fortunate than her. Céline always imagined herself running her mother’s non-profit eventually, believing that would be her future. she had always wanted to help those around her. she wanted to be a mother and a wife, live the quiet and idyllic life of the quiet country that her parents were living, the hustle and bustle of the city never interesting her. 

she always did love being an elder sister, she loved playing with her sisters when they were younger and when they got older, she loved being the one they came to for advice on anything and everything. though their bond became slightly weaker as Céline went off to college.

while Céline knew of the crown prince, and had friend’s who would give anything to so much as talk to him, she had never held much interest when it came to the royal family. her parents had consciously chosen to leave behind the dirty politics that came with being royalty or anywhere near them, so she was not about to willingly enter that world. or so she thought.

at university she met the crown prince, and before she knew it, she got swept away in that world her parents had fled. dating him came with handling the circus of the media, and fitting in with people much above her station. but for him, to be with him, she did it or at least tried to. she gave up her dream of the living a quiet life, instead choosing the high-profile life of a royal, and never complained once, out of sheer love & devotion to her love. 

There wasn’t much support for the match in his family, they weren’t against it but they did think that their heir ought to marry someone from a family that was more prominent, or a royal. Céline always worried that her boyfriend’s family, or maybe even her country, didn’t think she was good enough and that anxiety never really went away. But her now-husband fought off all opposition and married her seven years ago. They have two kids, a son Leandro 4, and a daughter Eva , 2. 

Her husband became king almost a year ago after the sudden death of his father, and Céline has been trying her hardest to do her title of queen justice since then.

Once she was queen and had access to all the documents in her country, she also accidentally found out the truth about her parentage. While she’s confronted her father and made her peace with him for almost a year now, she hasn’t approached her biological mother or her half-siblings. Now that they’re here for political reasons, Céline is contemplating whether she wants to approach them.
