lord everytime i think about how easily Alec became himself and his own separate person once he found Magnus i get vvv emotional. How he started off as the Clave’s personal punching bag, was constantly belittling himself to the point he didn’t even believe he was worthy of leadership, and was considerably less happy with himself.

and then.

enter Magnus. it takes “a little over” two months if we go by this wacky timeline sh tv tried to make work for Alec to come out, get a boyfriend, take over the institute, marry said boyfriend. they laugh together at dinner with Alec’s mom, go on numerous missions cracking jokes along the way, are publicly affectionate, and constantly put every part of their souls into making their relationship work. We see Alec furious, bashful, confident, broken, nervous, content, happy and unashamedly him.

his whole journey is so beautiful and tragic and i love it to pieces.

when people say “this show saved me” or “these characters helped me” it’s so fucking true. because i needed to hear and see what Alec went through to save myself from, well, myself.

In my country it's officially december 25th, so, to all my followers who celebrate this holiday, I wish you a merry christmas and a lovely day, and to my followers who don't celebrate it, I wish you a lovely day too anyway. this year hasn't been easy on any of us, and I lost my grandmother yesterday so i'm feeling pretty low and trying to cheer up by logging here, but still, I hope everyone of us are on the way to a kinder and softer year. we deserve it.

i think what i love most about harry and the way he acts is that he’s so... expressive? whether he’s dancing or conjuring “magic” or just making faces... you can comprehend his characters mood by the way he carries himself alone. i think that’s one of the hardest parts of acting and he manages to do it with ease.
