Tears for Fears - Falling Down
A strong song can give you a career, true. Sadly, this is not usually a case as we can confirm throughout the history. However, some have achieved something like that in spite of having the mentioned characteristic. For instance, I'm sure Sara Bareilles' greatest hit looms large over her opus, yet I believe the piece put her on the path, where she has a freedom to do what she wants, including a musical. Of course, the tune functions well despite being a result of a record label wishing for a single. Mind you, there's nothing with this, some of the best music can be done under the sure-I'll-play-by-your-rules pressure, since one can also find a powe in there. She most certainly did, because you hear a strange dichotomy – is she pulling your leg or is she serious? Why not both?
