Republican Representative Brian Mast is questioning the innocence of babies killed in Gaza.

Honestly I doubt he’s the only one in congress that feels like this, he’s just the only one dumb/arrogant enough to say it

In 2015, Brian Mast, a U.S. Army veteran who lost both legs while serving in Afghanistan in 2010, volunteered with the IDF. On October 8, 2023, one day after the Hamas massacre, Mast proudly wore his IDF uniform to Congress in a powerful display of solidarity. “Tlaib’s got her flag. I’ve got my uniform,” Mast remarked, referencing the pro-Hamas Congresswoman who had displayed the Palestinian flag outside her office. A true hero and a mensch, Mast will now serve as the Chairman of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee!

Brian Mast is a Republican representing Florida's 21st Congressional District. Previously, he represented Florida's 18th Congressional District. He has had a seat in the House of Representatives since 2017. He has not held a town hall in the 8 years he has been in office. Mast is up for reelection in 2026.

Mast, who has previously volunteered with the Israeli military and wore an IDF uniform around the Capitol in October, has previously called for a moratorium on all U.S. aid to Gaza and the West Bank. According Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry, the vast majority of the more than 26,000 people killed in the enclave since the war began are women and children. Israel launched its massive operation in response to the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attacks, which killed 1,200 people, according to Israeli figures. U.N. Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths on Thursday said the majority of Gaza’s housing units have either been destroyed or damaged, with three-quarters of the population now displaced. In the Codepink video, one activist says the destruction in Gaza is worse than that inflicted on Dresden during World War II. “And there’s more infrastructure that needs to be destroyed,” Mast said.
