Let me set the scene for you. I'm standing at the front of my classroom, very subtly sneaking looks at my phone to check for trades, and I see you replied to my question. So I look. And I SNORTED out loud, evidently so loud that one of my students asked me if I was okay. I later had to tell my mother about this reply as I was talking to her on the drive home from school.
Let me explain. The only Bruins jersey I own is number 12, Rolston. Brian Rolston has been my favorite player since... the mid 90s? I remember rookie him winning the Cup in the lockout shortened '95 season. I was devastated when the Devils traded him. I remember the hot minute he was an Av. I was thrilled beyond anything when he became a Bruin, those years were rough winning wise, but I loved those players so much. I remember when Ryder was born because his birthday is Halloween. Brian was the primary assist on Patrice Bergeron's first goal. He was doing what Patrice does, before Patrice did it. He was one of the best defensive forwards. I followed the Wild religiously when Brian was there, why they never gave him a permanent C I don't understand. When he finally signed back with Jersey, I cried. I could go on for days.
So, I cannot explain how much it made me laugh to have you explaining to me who Brian is. Also I too am super cranky that Ryder is a Hawk, amd him being an Avalanche was pretty funny.
