Coming to terms with your own sexual identity isn’t always a simple process. For older generations the fear and pressure can cause closeted individuals to lash out or isolate themselves. That tragic reality was portrayed beautifully this year on 9-1-1 thanks to Brian Safi and Lou Ferrigno Jr.
Today’s LGBT Youth still have struggles but they also have resources like The Trevor Project so they don’t have to go it alone. In honor of Josh Russo and Tommy Kinard, I donated $20 USD to The Trevor Project as part of the AllIWantForChristmasIsLou donation campaign. My Christmas wish is that the gay kids of today get the support they need and deserve the way so many of their elders didn’t.
And of course I also hope the currently heartbroken Tommy Kinard gets the love and support he needs, that’s why #AllIWantForChristmasIsLou
