Going to remain anonymous for... obvious reasons
But I have been using apps like character ai since like...middle school, now I'm like 20 and I'm trying to recover from it
The best way I've been doing it is trying to get a better sleep schedule or writing my own scripts
I've also been trying to rp with people but even that's kinda hard because I've become a very impatient person when it comes to waiting for responses (a bad habit I know) I'm trying to get better at it
Sometimes I relapse...a lot of times I wanna cry...it's hard man
But I'm determined to get through this
I'm determined to get better 💪
It's alright to be on anon, in this day and age with people being anti ai we tend to forget that we shouldn't antagonize those who tried it out and got addicted.
Your ideas for coping sound like they work well! I can especially understand wanting to rp with someone else, and the impatience is totally understandable. Something I came to do is make my own private rp server on Discord and use tupperbox for both characters. Worked wonders, but if you don't have discord, there's similar two-way apps you could try to simulate that feeling(if i can remember it, there's an app that lets you make a text conversation by yourself and letting you take both sides :D)
I understand the urge to relapse. You can get through this, and the longer we go, the stronger we'll get. I wish you luck ^^
