Dream About Blondie
She had her arm wrapped around my elbow. We were walking into some sort of formal gathering. There was a gleam in her eyes as she looked at me. We walked in and looked around. She doesn’t drink, but I grabbed one for myself.
“Don’t remind me of Patrick”, she said.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, that is just the beginning.”
“Whatever.”
Sunday Morning Dreams
As usual the remnants of the dream that I remember are events already in progress. I am driving around a neighborhood near a place I lived when I lived in Virginia. I was driving at night and I seemed to be going in circles. As I approach an intersection for the second time there was a car that had broken down.
The woman was in distress and it took me a second to discover why she was upset. A man popped up from the back of the car and attempted to open the doors. I stopped my car and jumped out of the car and chased the man away.
“Are you okay?” I asked.
“No, my car broke down on my way to work. Then that man…”
“Get in my car and we’ll get you some help.”
The woman gets in my car and ask me to take her to work. I didn’t ask if she wanted to get her car towed. I just took her to work. I walk her into the building up to the third floor. An older woman in a uniform stops me.
“Sir, you cannot be on this floor. You will have to leave immediately.”
She continues, and I resist the temptation to roll my eyes. I am just waiting to respond.”
“I just saved her from a potential attacker. She asked me to walk her all the way here.”
The woman in uniform softened a little and put her arm around me.
“Thank you. I am sorry I had to be so stern, but you really cannot be here.”
I left the place and got in my car. I continued to drive in the area. When I arrive at the intersection where I found the broken car, I see a minivan crashed into the embankment. I pull up to the crash and the driver’s door is open and a woman is slumped over the wheel. It is dark and late. I don’t hear any sirens.
I try to walk up to the car to assist, but as I try to take steps forward, I am going nowhere. Then the details become blurry and fade as I wake up. It is 6:36 in the morning.
Remnant of a dream.
I wake up at 2 AM. I am under the bridge.
I wake up at 3 AM. I am under the river.
Ripped Apart - A dream sequence
The familiar became the strange. I was driving home on a road I driven many times. The first time was normal, and all the landmarks were there. Someone I don’t know starts hanging out with me in some sort of apartment building.
In the next repeat sequence of events, the road has vehicles and other large objects breaking down along the road. I look up to the sky and see a ring that looks like diamonds. It appears as if a portal has opened, but nothing came through. The road itself looks less familiar. I don’t know if I got home this time.
The next time around, I am in a house. There is a woman with me, and the walls are leaking with water. Everything starts leaking with water and when I drive home this time, there is more debris on the road, and nothing is as I remember. When I get home there are people in tears. The unfamiliar man leans into me and tells me he sent me instructions with the login. I don’t know what that means.
The next loop began so intense that I woke up.
