Climbing a Brick Tower in Roblox

So I just played Build a Tower with Friends (based on the one in VRchat, I heard) and joined the currently most active public server.

For some context: In this game, you mine clay, forge it into bricks, and carry it (or fly it) up a brick tower to keep adding onto it. I had only played the game once with friends before, and my carrying capacity in the game is only 10 bricks. (Compared to the THOUSANDS of bricks someone SHOULD be carrying to even make this trip worthwhile)

This public-server tower, with dozens of people working on it every day is very,

very,

VERY,

TALL.

About twenty minutes into my journey, a player by the name of Red informed me that they had been climbing well over thirty minutes.

Which was a helpful assessment, because I had already begun feeling the doubt creeping into my mind about starting this endeavor.

It was then that I saw a balloon rising from the fog below. I tried to ask for a ride, but alas, Fib didn't heed my call or see it.

This was who I'd come to know as Fib, who had earned enough bricks to buy a balloon, which made going to the top for them easier.

I learned from Fib how long the journey on foot REALLY was.

Anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours. I could try, the ten bricks I carried with me were worth it. I was Sisyphus, but the only thing separating I and him was my ability to reach the top. So I continued on the arduous journey.

I faced philosophical blunders,

harsh weathers,

and strange questions.

Even Fib, with the coveted balloon, was facing doubt.

But we had to remember what we were fighting for.

These bricks shall be placed, I thought!

And as my stamina waned, I saw it, a second balloon rising from the fog...

my deus ex balloon,

Aleph.

He passed me on the way up.

BUT NOW! With travel only affordable by the most senior brick layers, I was unstoppable!

Despite the speed, the journey still took time, and anxieties about this balloon-shaped miracle being too good to be true gripped my weary soul.

But what comes after laying my precious ten bricks? On this heap of thousands? There was only one option in my mind, decided before I met Aleph.

Like Sir Isaac Newton declared, what comes up, must come down...

I confided in Aleph my planned end to my journey.

But learned from the naysayer Fib, the limitations of my experiment.

It would be all for naught, but I would try anyways.

Lies, I thought, I have no bones to break. This Ibipro must be thinking of a fall limit set by the developers, I wouldn't believe my journey was all for nothing, it couldn't be!

A problem soon arose, I began to slide as we journeyed higher.

I now had to correct my footing every few seconds, or succumb to the foggy pit below.

But we were determined!

And finally, I could see the top!

Aleph was AFK and passed it, dude.

I called for his attention. I screamed his name.

But my cries fell upon deaf ears.
