"Forever is Waiting" by Tyy was the first Wedding doll that I designed.
She was made for the 2000 BMAA Competition that was held Annual through Barbie Bazaar Magazine.
I entered her in the Bridal Category. (Obviously) lol
I wanted to ensure that my Bride was unique so I made her gown as modern as they get.
I designed a halter top with a bold collar and a fitted long skirt.
Instead of the traditional veil I moved the tulle to her train.
I have included my original sketch. As you can see I was going quite a few different ways with this one until I decided on the last dress.
(Years later I revisited this idea but used the design on a Silkstone Barbie - Grecian Wedding (See Video https://youtu.be/OzhXqfDRutQ )
The Wedding gown was designed using White Dupioni silk.
Her necklace was a three strand vintage pearl and crystal creation.
She wore no other jewels than this.
I wanted her gown to say it all.
Her cuffs were made of the same fabric as the gown and held together with vintage pearls.
Her shoes that are not shown in these shots were hand beaded with tiny clear crystals.
Her hair and makeup were also done as to not upstage her gown. Her hair was a simple side sloped bang with soft curls on the ends.
She had eyelashes to enhance her blue eyes with simple espresso lips and again no earrings or other jewels to conflict with her gown.
You can see her in the Barbie Bazaar June 2001 issue.
She is also picture here with other Robert Tonner Tyler Wentworth dolls that I designed
