She had a mark on her top lip right from when I got her a few year’s ago and I thought I wouldn’t be able to get it off but today I dared myself to just go over it gently with my Crystal nail file and it’s come off so I am mega happy, wish I had done it sooner now but I was scared to try in case I made it worse 😂

This Steffie sculpt Miss America has an extremely low hairline that I finally realized I could hide with bangs, but only after increasing the amount of hair she had, due to her sparse early 1970s rooting pattern additionally losing several plugs of hair over the decades. I didn't have a brown hair fiber that matched in texture, so I used a similar-feeling dark purple. The result is raisiny!

I modified the neck opening to fit on a modern(ish) body with the aid of a bread tag, and I spent some time grinding the big flat gymnast Barbie feet to be smaller and have chance of fitting more shoes.

Might repaint the lips someday? Haven't decided.

So I usually love repro Barbie friends a lot and I was super excited about PJ finally getting a repro, but the first set I got, PJ’s eyes were misprinted at a weird angle and the beads and hair were horribly messy so I sent it back for a replacement.

My second PJ came today and she is even worse than my first one with one eye being much larger with dust ingrained in it and on her eyebrows too, plus her rooted hair has some random bits of hair sticking out.

After rerooting my curvy Hawaiian Barbie I picked up my other one I got from @audreysworldofdolls and realised not only is her hairline like 5 miles away from her ears, she was missing half of her default factory hair and it’s a reason why I kept her hair in a ponytail.

I used up scrap bits of black saran to fill in the hair and I’m really happy her hair looks nice without needing to be strategically tied in place.
