The London season has come and gone, but that does not mean the fun is over! For the Queen has invited you to the annual New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball, a night of extraordinary splendor to celebrate the end of the one year and welcome the next with a bang. There will be song and dance, performers in every room, with food and drink of all kind. Jesters and fools and performers and mimes will entertain and amaze you, and you can even attain a quick silhouette portrait from the royal artists. All that is required is that you must wear a mask.
Different floors of Buckingham Palace are open only for tonight (with a watchful eye from the servants), so there are plenty of places to hide with a secret someone you love (or hate.) The Queen has given you an open playing field, and she craves the scandal that will come of the night. Which secrets will you keep? What quarrels will come to an end? What will the night mean to you?
And always remember: Lady Whistledown is watching.
Hello all -- this is the first of (hopefully) many Bridgerton RP group events to come! This event will run from Tuesday Jan 5th, 2021 to Sunday Jan 31st, 2021. It will all be featured on one night: New Years Eve at Buckingham Palace. Anything goes! We want chaos and scandal, enough to encourage threads beyond this event and carrying on to the next.
This is how the night will begin: each guest that likes this post (whether it be a canon Bridgerton character or a character with a verse, OC, etc) will be assigned a random partner (or partners) to start the night interacting with. You are not locked in with this partner for the entire month! As the party continues on and flows, as do the threads. They can be as short or as long as you like. Be as free as you want with it! The most important rule is to have fun (and to give Lady Whistledown a lot to talk about afterward).
An important note: this is not locked to any amount of versions of a character; it truly is a free for all!
