Ingredients: 1 box of white cake mix. 1/2 cup of vegetable oil. 3 large eggs. 1 cup of buttermilk. 1/2 cup of sour cream. 1/2 cup of cotton candy flavored sugar. 1/4 cup of cotton candy syrup. 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Blue and pink food coloring. 1/2 cup of unsalted butter. 4 cups of powdered sugar. 1/4 cup of milk. 1/4 cup of cotton candy flavored sugar for decoration. Cotton candy for garnish.
Instructions: Warm up the oven to 350F 175C and put cupcake liners in a muffin tin. Put the eggs, buttermilk, sour cream, cotton candy flavored sugar, cotton candy syrup, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Mix the white cake mix together with these ingredients. Mix everything together well. Put an equal amount of batter into each bowl. Put a few drops of pink food coloring in one bowl and blue food coloring in the other. Mix until the colors you want are reached. First put a spoonful of blue batter into each cupcake liner. Then put a spoonful of pink batter into each one until they are about two thirds full. After the oven is hot, bake the cupcakes for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. After the cupcakes have cooled in the pan for a few minutes, move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down. Cream the unsalted butter in a different bowl until it is smooth. Adding powdered sugar and milk one at a time until you get a thick and creamy frosting is important. Once the cupcakes are cool, pipe or spread the frosting on them. For decoration, sprinkle the rest of the sugar that tastes like cotton candy on top of the frosted cupcakes. Add a small piece of cotton candy to the top of each cupcake. Serve these tasty Cotton Candy Cupcakes and enjoy them!
