Zesty Lemon Cupcakes-Perfectly Sweet & Bright
These tie-dye sugar cookies are a fun and colorful twist on the classic sugar cookie. With swirls of vibrant colors, they are perfect for parties, celebrations, or any time you want a cheerful treat.
Ingredients: 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 1/2 cups white sugar. 1 egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Gel food coloring assorted colors.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 375F 190C. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition. Divide the dough into equal parts, depending on how many colors you want to make. Add a few drops of different gel food coloring to each portion of dough, and knead until the colors are fully incorporated and the dough is uniformly colored. Take a small piece from each colored dough and press them together to form a ball with swirls of colors tie-dye effect. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy your delicious tie-dye sugar cookies!
