I just pop a Xanax but this might be practical for shorter flights.
I always wind up groggy if I try something like that (and then I don’t enjoy the beginning of the vacation) so I load up with distractions instead. I have a couple TV episodes along with the music on my iPod, I’ll have my phone (and obviously the games on it), my computer (with the solitaire and mah jong suites), a couple books, and a crossword puzzle book. I’ll probably switch activities every half hour, because like I said, when I’m nervous, I have no attention span. ;)

I played that for a bit. Yes, it's tedious but use a stylus to make it easier. Sometimes I went for all the same color at the same time or went by segment by segment of enlarged squares.
Thank you for the tip on the stylus! I was doing segment by segment last night, which seemed to work well for me. :)
