I'm afraid I can't be much help in this regard. The only accident I've been in at present was roughly a year ago, when I got hit by a deer. (I can't emphasize that enough- the deer was the one who hit me.) Although, that was odd in itself, as this happened in the middle of the day. Deer generally tend to only be active at dawn or dusk, not around high noon.
Eep! I can’t even imagine how scary that was. I hate it when a squirrel runs out into the road in front of me, never mind a deer!
Prior to this, I was only in one other accident, which was also not our fault. (The other car ran a red light.) We didn’t really frequent the intersection where the accident happened very often but I do remember my mom slowing down as she approached intersections, regardless of the color of the light, for a while after.

I've avoided the road I fender bended on for quite sometime. Eventually, like a few months later, I had to take it and was VERY careful with the area I had my accident on.
I unfortunately can’t avoid the intersection because it’s legit right outside my complex so the day after getting hit, I had no choice but to get back on that road again. I am so ridiculously careful now ... probably too careful. And when I stop to take that left, my heart kinda pauses until the car behind me goes around me. Then the longer I have to sit there to wait for the break in the traffic so I can make the turn, the more anxious I get.

I'm 4 months out from my car being totaled by an idiot who didn't understand how to merge onto the roadway. And I am still quite anxious about being next to people on the road, merges, and rarely go past where I was in the accident.
What the hell is with people?! I hope you were okay! (I mean, obviously you were but you know what I mean. :)) My sister was in an accident last week where a lady blew through a stop sign coming out of a side street and collided with my sister as she was driving down the main road. (My sister’s got a broken hand but is otherwise fine, but her car’s totaled.) I swear, people have gotten complacent and forget that they’re basically piloting metal death machines down the street every day.
I didn’t really like driving to begin with (hi, anxiety!) but now I feel like it’s a constant stream of, “Please don’t hit me, please don’t hit me, please don’t hit me ...”
