Brigo
Brigo is likely one of the first NPCs players encounter when playing Breath of the Wild. He spends his time on Proxim bridge, which many players will pass on their way to Kakariko Village from the Great Plateau.
He seems a bit lonely.

Brigo Linktober 2022 - Day 22 - (late) - NPC [IMAGE ID: A young man with a fair complexion, brown hair and brown eyes looking in 3-quarters view with a scowl on his face. He is wearing a red shirt, a green vest and a heavy backpack. He is carrying a spear in a brown-gloved hand. / END IMAGE ID].
Brigo from Breath of the Wild - my favorite NPC in that game. He defends Proxim Bridge from monsters and will talk Link off the edge of the bridge if you stand on the edge with encouraging words, apparently mistaking Link as a potential suicide-jumper. It just resonates with me that this NPC in a darn video game is concerned with your mental health and saving your life.
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is killing me why is this everyone who knows me irl BRO! and Brigo
ok but: Link falling, getting very hurt, Mipha's Grace healing him while in front of other people. How do they respond when this happens- after assuming he died because of a long fall?
Honestly. I would assume the majority of Hyrule would be relatively.. numb to crazy things happening. Although, at least some might be at least a little bit alarmed - “Shouldn’t you be dead?”“No.”“Okay?”I know we have people who like, Brigo who immediately jump to talking Link down from the edge, yet even with this I would assume everyone would be able to be quite lax about ‘near death -- survival?”On that note Brigo really touches my heart...~Mod Zelda
Here’s a different reaction you can get from Brigo if you stand too near the edge of the bridge. I’m not sure what causes him to say this rather than that other bit of dialog, but still I think it’s really neat to see the different text. I actually got this reaction first and then the one I posted yesterday.
It is sorta funny that you can trigger his text by climbing the bridge if you were going to, say raid one of the nearby bokoblin camps, as happened in a great BotW story I read, titled The Watchman at Proxim Bridge. I’m afraid I do drive Brigo batty sometimes, especially the way I zoom past on my horse sometimes or walk carelessly along the rail of the bridge...
I tried to jump off a bridge to attack some enemies, but suddenly I was stopped by an NPC who had the wrong idea.
I honestly was not expecting this at all. But I have seen what life could be and will never jump off bridges again.
