Thoughts upon rewatching episode 7:
This is a post apocalyptic world. Not in a single unique apocalypse kind of way but in a "regularly repeated events" way. Elora Danan and the Wyrm are both parts of a repeating cycle of destruction and rebirth.
The Crone is not a single person it's a Role that's passed down, much like that of the Harbinger.
Lilli is not just playacting during her interactions with Airk. She is, simultaneously, drawing on her own experience as the previous victim and the strategies the previous Crone used on her; the Lilli persona is real- it IS her, just her from the past, and she has lived outside of time for so very long. I think the old knight at the edge of the Shattered Sea not being able to remember what quest he was on is not just her covering up a slip up; I think Lilli-the-princess-of-Cashmere might have gradually lost her identity amongst those of the many Crones and Harbingers that came before her (with whom she may or may not have some kind of shared conscience), to the point that all their backstories are fragmentary and bleeding into each other. ( idk if it makes sense; it does in my brain but I'm bad at turning it into words).
Old Kymeria isn't simply old it's since-before-the-beginning-of-times ancient. The Immemorial City IS Old Kymeria, and the Cuirass and The Worm and the Elora Danan(s) are all connected somehow
