I am officially on a mission to decentralize my tech and phone. I'm going to make my phone a place to only send and receive messages again. And even then, it's not going to include social media unless it's on my computer. I spent way to much time on it. I already have a kindle (yes Amazon is an evil cooperation etc but I bought it in 2019 on sale so sue me) and I'm in the process of getting an mp3 player.
The problem with this is that it's tech that has been phased out by phones so I'll be lucky to find one in a local store but if push comes to shove I'll either make my sister buy one in best buy or use Amazon (even though I don't want to. I'd rather buy it locally). I have like 15 gigs of music that I can't have immediate access to unless I want to give that up on my phone and I don't want to. I really miss my ipod nano. It was the only apple product I owned and I actually liked it.
Also no touch screens except my phone. I just bought this last year and I don't plan on replacing it until the wheels fall off, my last phone lasted 6 years. I need at least 5 out of this one. Damn just realized my Kindle is also a touch screen but the same rules apply.
No new tech unless the wheels fall off. Centralizing all work stuff to company gadgets so no notes on my phone. I'm escaping the hellscape that is my phone. I finally got a new computer to replace my 10 year old one so I'm deleting apps that I can use there and going to take my time back.
