that is such a lovely selfie -- there's a sense of joy & natural unguarded life, that's so hard to capture
my first thought was it's the exact OPPOSITE of that classic painting where a nude woman is seen laying on a chesterfield, her back to the viewer, and she's holding up a hand mirror to show her face -- i think it's called "Vanity" but i wasnt able to find it on a search :/ anyway that painting is very very viewer-focused, like she is posed for someone else, she is holding up the mirror for someone else, the angle means she wouldn't even be able to see herself in it. everything she's doing is for someone else's pleasure or design. ick
anyway your selfie looks like the reverse of that, like a modern reply: this is what a person looks like when they are NOT performing, when they're taking joy & pride in themselves, for themselves. having fun!!
i dont want this to be numbered and i cant remove it :( tumblr why are you like this
this is such an incredibly sweet thing to say, im gonna treasure it oh my lord
