UPDATE

God I’m so awful about updates, guys.

We pretty much plateaued at $630 but we did get him the outdoor glasses. I’ve been kind of MIA because I had a career deciding test to study for and take, then had an emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder, and am dealing with cancer biopsies and the like. So it’s been one big roller coaster of suck. 

BUT I’M UPLOADING THE VIDEOS TODAY.

I sincerely apologize for the delay. I’m not a cinematographer so the videos aren’t especially pretty or edited or anything. They’re just his reactions. Just look at his continual look of awe and wonder.

UPDATE

Sorry for the lack of posts, you guys, but we just haven’t been getting any donations. We WERE, in fact, able to get the dark tinted ones, so he kind of sees color. It has to be super bright outside, though, and he’s slightly disappointed that colors aren’t more vibrant, but I did warn him when he chose the sunglasses!  Videos to be posted soon! No tears, (booo! haha) but he did get very upset the first night when it got too dark to wear the glasses. I think he got so caught up in being able to see color that he forgot he couldn’t use them 24/7. I’ll get some videos up soon; there’s gonna be a series of reaction videos!

Update

So, we received some great news yesterday! The whole of my husband’s family pitched in and the amount comes to about $500! Once we receive this money, we will be at $1095! We are SO close to our goal and if everyone donated one dollar and told three friends about it, I know we can make our goal before the end of the month; which means bringing color to my husband’s world before Christmas!

UPDATE: Due to financial issues, we ended up having to use the money his family donated for personal bills. But we used the donated money from GFM for the outdoor lenses.

Update

Hey, guys. We’re still at $585 and nothing has changed in about a month. Things have slowed. Please reach out to your friends and family and see if they can spare even $1 to further our cause. We are almost halfway there and it would be amazing if we could reach our goal for Christmas.

UPDATE

We’ve made $585. I’ve decided to cut the campaign short and buy him a pair as soon as we are able, so I have withdrawn the online amount and I have the cash donations with me already. As soon as he gets his eyes examined and has a new prescription, I guess you guys will have that video you were waiting for.
